Prof. Winifred Elysse Newman is the Mickel Professor of Architecture at Clemson University and the Associate Dean for Research and Academic Affairs. She also serves as Director of the Institute for Intelligent Materials, Systems, and Environments (CU-iMSE), promoting digital and human-machine hybrid solutions as a paradigm shift in the design and occupation of the built environment. Dr. Newman concentrates on spatial perception in architecture, ecological psychology, and neuroaesthetics with active research in neuroscience and architecture, data visualization, mapping, STEM learning environments, and histories of technology and science. Dr. Newman is the Executive Editor of the Journal for Technology, Architecture, and Design. Recent publications include Data Visualization for Design Thinking: Applied Mapping.

With three doctorates in chemical engineering, mineral processing, and business economics, Jannie van Deventer has knowledge and experience at the interface of technology, finance, and business. Jannie is CEO of Zeobond in Melbourne, Australia, and is an honorary professorial fellow at the University of Melbourne, where he was Dean of Engineering until 2007. Jannie van Deventer is one of the world's highest-cited researchers in cement and concrete research, with a Scopus h-index of 101 and a Scopus citation count of more than 26,000. Also, he was recently ranked number 2 in the world in mining and metallurgy research by Stanford University. Jannie has received several awards for his research and has been listed three times as one of Australia's most influential engineers. Jannie is a frequent plenary and keynote speaker at research and industry conferences. He has served on several editorial boards and is an associate editor of Waste and Biomass Valorization. He has a track record of commercializing processing technology, including E-Crete ultra-low cement and concrete through Zeobond he founded in 2006. He also developed and commercialized one of the first video graphics systems for the monitoring of flotation froths in the mineral industry, as well as several inventions in the extraction of gold. Besides Zeobond, Jannie is currently involved with partners in the development and commercialization of technology to recover precious metals from abnormal ores, as well as the conversion of a variety of waste sources to energy and liquid fuels.

Distinguished Professor Vivian W. Y. Tam is a world-leading researcher in the field of construction engineering and management. Her findings have found applications and impacts for tackling climate-change issues for green buildings and recycled concrete. She is currently the Director of the Centre for Infrastructure Engineering, Associate Dean (Research and HDR), Associate Dean (International), and Discipline Leader (Construction Management) at the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment, Western Sydney University, Australia. She was nominated to the College of Expert, Australian Research Council, Australian Government in 2018-2021. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Construction Management and Senior Editor of Construction and Building Materials. She has published over 330 referred journal articles. She has been awarded fifty-three research grants (totaling over $5 million). Her work has been recognized by peers nationally and internationally, which has been exemplified by seven Australian Research Council projects and over 24,000 citations with an h-index of 81. Vivian is also named of the 100,000 Top-Scientists (Top 2% of Scientists) in the World since 2017. Vivian is also nominated as a Runner Up, Scopus Researcher of the Year Award 2019, Excellence in Research Impacting a Sustainable Future, Scopus, and her team has won the Gold Award, 2021 Urban Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Guangzhou International Sister-City Universities (GISU), from this project development.

Prof. Qing Wang received his doctoral degree from Tongji University for work on the interface strength of fiber-reinforced composites in 1996. In 1998 he became a full Professor of Material Mechanics at the Shandong University of Technology, China. In 2000, he joined the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), in Japan. In 2014 he moved to Shandong University of Science and Technology, China, as Taishan Distinguished Professor. In 2017 he acted there as the Dean of the Department of Materials Sci Eng. In 2022 he moved to Taishan University. Now he works there as a Director and Taishan Distinguished Professor of the Institute of Advanced Engineering Materials and Structures. Prof. Qing Wang's main area of research is micro- and nano-fabrication and its application in advanced functional materials used in civil engineering. This involves the development of fabrication methods for the advanced functional materials at continuum scales during the nano- and micro-fabrication processes.

Yan Zhuge is a Professor in Structural Engineering at UniSA STEM. Yan has lectured at several Australian universities for more than 20 years. She has a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and a Masters's in Structural Engineering from Beijing, China, a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. Her main research interests include green concrete materials, fiber composite structures, and seismic retrofitting of masonry structures. She has published more than 160 SCI technical papers and has been invited as a keynote speaker at several international conferences. Yan has successfully supervised many Ph.D. graduates. She has won several Australian and Queensland government awards and fellowships and attracted funding from the Australian Research Council and industry. She was the winner of the 2018 South Australia Winnovation award in the Engineering category. She is the current College of Experts of the Australian Research Council (ARC).

Denvid obtained his Ph.D. in the field of structures and materials from MIT in 2012. He has become an associate professor with tenure at CityU since 2018. From January to July 2020, he was a visiting professor at MIT CEE. His research focuses on functionalized construction materials, multiscale modeling of the organic-inorganic systems, moisture-induced debonding, the durability of the concrete-epoxy system, and fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites in structural rehabilitation. He is currently the editorial board member of several international journals. He has published more than 160 referred journal and conference articles and has delivered more than 40 invited talks, which include plenary and keynote speeches at international conferences. Since 2018, David has been nominated and selected as a Founding Member of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences. He has received one of The President's Awards from CityU, in recognition of his remarkable academic achievement.

Dr. Amer Ali is specialized in highway and transportation engineering and has been working in the UK academic sector for more than two decades including research and teaching. He has worked for a number of UK universities including UCL, ICL, Leeds MU, and LSBU. He has extensive experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses and in the supervision of MSc and Ph.D. research projects in addition to managing and directing courses and developing new courses and new modules descriptors and guides. Dr. Ali is the Director of Studies and Lead Supervisor of seven Ph.D. students for research on railway and highway engineering. He also has several years of experience as a tutor for international students and as a tutor for placement and careers. Dr. Ali's research and publications span the areas of traffic and highway engineering, railway engineering, and sustainability in addition to professional development and the training and learning of graduate engineers at the workplace during their initial professional development (IPD) period. In addition to being a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he is a highly professionally qualified Chartered Engineer (CEng) who is a fellow of a number of major engineering institutions (FICE, FIHE, FCIHT, FPWI) and serves as an approved Mentor (SCE), Reviewer for Chartership and represents some engineering institutions in the Academic Standards Panel and the JBM Main Board.

Khaled Shaaban is an associate professor of transportation engineering in the Department of Engineering at Utah Valley University. He received his doctorate in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida. He is a registered professional engineer in multiple states and a professional traffic operations engineer. He has over twenty years of experience in the transportation engineering industry. He has been a principal investigator or co-principal investigator for many research projects. The outcomes of these projects include numerous published papers and presentations on a variety of transportation engineering topics.

Professor Sanchez-Silva's area of expertise is risk analysis and stochastic modeling to support the decision-making process in engineering under uncertain conditions. He works extensively on Probabilistic Risk Analysis (PRA) and approximate measures to estimate potential risks for infrastructure, network systems, and industrial facilities. Furthermore, he has experience in estimating risk in complex problems under conditions where information is partial, incomplete, and difficult to quantify. Finally, he has been involved in projects where socioeconomic and environmental contexts play a significant role and, therefore, traditional risk modeling and engineering methods can only be applied partially. Some of his current areas of research include the development of infrastructure systems (structures and lifelines); stochastic modeling of deteriorating systems and structures; flexibility, adaptability, and resilience of infrastructure; and decision-making for resource allocation and cost-effectiveness of investments in the design and operation of various types of facilities.

Dr.Mohamed is a lecturer at the School of Engineering and the Built Environment at Edinburgh Napier University. He joined Edinburgh Napier University as a Ph.D. student in 2010 and became a zero-hour lecturer in January 2014, teaching math and civil engineering subject areas from undergraduate to MSc Levels. He was promoted to a fix-term lecturer and senior research fellow in 2019, working on bio-based composite materials in construction funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering. Dr. Mohamed got a permeant lecturer position in 2021. Before joining Edinburgh Napier University, he worked as a teaching assistant and a lecturer in Civil Engineering Department at Omar Al-Mukhtar University in Libya. He completed his B.Eng. in Civil Engineering in Libya and was awarded the degree of MSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Atilim University, Turkey. Since 2019, Ahmed has led or co-investigated several research projects funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Scottish Funding Council, and the Energy Technology Partnership. His research outcomes have been published in several prestigious research journals in civil engineering subject areas. He is the first author or corresponding author for most of these publications. Ahmed's research focuses on the area of timber engineering, bio-based composite materials in construction, and non-destructive test technology in civil engineering. He is teaching the finite element module at the MSc level and he has a strong background in using finite element software for modeling complex structures.

Wensu Chen is an ARC (Australian Research Council) Future Fellow Associate Professor in Structural Engineering, and Director of the Centre for Infrastructural Monitoring and Protection (CIMP) at Curtin University, Australia. His research interests are primarily in structural engineering and protective structures, primarily focussing on the development of novel protective materials and structures, structural protection against multi-hazards, and prefabricated and modular structures. He has published over 150 SCI-indexed international journal articles and won four ARC research grants as lead or sole CI. He is on the World's Top 2% Scientists List at Stanford University. He serves as an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Protective Structures, a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), and a Committee member of Structures Panel WA Division, Engineers Australia.

Dr. J.D. Yau earned his Ph.D. from the National Taiwan University (NTU) in 1996. Following his tenure as a chair engineer at the Kuan-Tech Eng Consult Co. (1997-1999), he joined the faculty of Tamkang University (TKU) in 1999. At TKU, he has held the positions of Assistant Professor (1999-2003), Associate Professor (2003-09), Professor (2010-), and Chair (2004-2007) in the Department of Architecture and Building Technology. He also serves as a Supervisor of the Taiwan Association of Wind Engineering (TAWE, 2014-). In October 2023, Dr. Yau was recognized as one of the world's top 2% scientists (Career Impact) (1960-2023) by Mendeley Data, a company owned by Elsevier. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed journal papers and articles on moving load problems. His primary research interests focus on the vibrations of high-speed rails, indirect frequency measurements of bridges, and maglev dynamics.

Dr. Yang XU is an assistant professor and lecturer in the School of Civil Engineering at the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in China. He obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics in 2019. His research interests include deep-learning-enhanced structural health monitoring and computer-vision-assisted structural damage detection. He has published over 20 papers in top journals and conferences and applied for over 10 national patents. As PI, he has taken several programs from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key and Develop Plan Program, the Postdoctoral Science Foundation of China, the Heilongjiang Province Postdoctoral Research, and the State Key Laboratory. He was awarded the Fellowship of China National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents.

Cristina Calheiros is Environmental Engineer with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology. Currently is a Researcher at CIIMAR - Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research of the University of Porto, Portugal, and Coordinator of the Centre for Monitoring and Environmental Interpretation (CMIA), Vila do Conde, Portugal. She is an Invited Professor at the Institute of Science and Environment, University of Saint Joseph, SAR Macao, China, and at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, Portugal. She is Vice-president of The Portuguese National Association of Green Roof (ANCV)(https://www.greenroofs.pt/en). Integrates the international network of COST Action - Implementing nature-based solutions for creating a resourceful circular city (https://circular-city.eu). Her work focuses on the development of nature-based solutions(e.g., green roofs and walls, constructed and floating wetlands) towards sustainability of territories and as tools for climate change adaptation and mitigation, water management, and treatment solutions, phytoremediation and environmental education.

Dr. Bruce W. Jo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee Technological University. Before, he was an Associate Professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook, and a tenured Associate Professor at Tennessee State University (TSU), Nashville TN. Prior to that he also worked as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University during 2011-2014 and at Florida State University as Research Associate during 2010-2011. His main research interests are 1) the design and control of amorphous structures (4D printing), 2) the design of flight control systems, 3) the dynamics/kinematics and mechanism design of mechanical systems, and 4) the design of feedback control allocator for manned/unmanned aerial vehicles in the applications of aerospace, mechanical, and robotic systems. Since 2016, he has been working for and collaborating with many government agencies in the United States including AFOSR (Air Force Office of Scientific Research), AFRL (Air Force Research Laboratory), ARL (Army Research Laboratory), and ORNL (Oak Ridge National Laboratory). He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, NY in 2010, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New York University, NY in 2006, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2003.

Dr. Firas AL MAHMOUD holds a diploma (1999) in civil engineering, a Ph.D. in strengthening reinforced concrete structures from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Toulouse France. Accreditation to supervise research (HDR) (2016). Prof. Firas AL MAHMOUD currently works at Lorraine University - France as a structural engineering educator. He teaches in several engineering schools. He was the Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Lorraine University from the 2017 - 2020 academic year. He has experience in education and research with an emphasis on sustainable materials and rehabilitation, modeling, structures, and structural strengthening. He also develops innovative strengthening techniques utilizing fiber-reinforced polymers and cementitious-based mortar. He is an editorial board member and reviewer for several journals. Dr. Biao HU is currently an Assistant Professor at the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, Shenzhen University, P.R. China. He obtained his Ph.D. from the City University of Hong Kong in 2017. His main research focuses on composite materials & structures, structural retrofitting, and sustainable construction materials. He has published more than 40 technical papers in international journals and conference proceedings (including 41 SCI papers), and these works received more than 830 citations recorded in Google Scholar. He is the principal investigator of 4 research projects and the co-investigator of more than 10 research projects. Isidoro Russo graduated with honors in Architecture and Building Engineering at the University of Salerno in 2018. In 2018, he was an intern at Drever International based in Belgium. In 2021, he obtained a Ph.D. title in "Risk and Sustainability in Civil, Architectural and Environmental Systems (XXXIV cycle)" - address "Advanced technologies, infrastructure, and land protection for sustainable development" - at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Salerno, where since 2022 he is a Junior Researcher in "Roads, railways and airports". He collaborates by supervising the realization of bachelor's and master's degree theses on topics related to roads, railways, and airports. Since 2018, he is a member of the Laboratory of "Roads, Railways and Airports" (link) based at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Salerno. Tohid Moghtader graduated from the Islamic Azad University, Qazvin branch in 2004 with a BSc in civil engineering. Subsequently, he received a master's degree in Construction Management Engineering, from the Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran, Iran, in 2011. He succeeded to achieve his master's degree as a pre-eminent student with a grade point average of 4 out of 4, and an outstanding master's thesis award. With regard to this honour, he was accepted as a Ph.D. student in Construction Management Engineering at the Islamic Azad University of Iran. He has been currently doing on his dissertation as a PhD candidate at the Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran. He has taught several courses such as the subject of "Management & Organization of Workshop Building" at the School of Art and Architecture of Roudehen Azad University as well as Dr. Shariati Vocational and Technical College, Tehran, Iran. He is presently a grade-one member of the Organization for Engineering Order of Building-Tehran- Iran in both structural design and supervision fields. He has the enthusiasm to pursue the specific research areas comprised of quantitative risk assessment and management in construction projects specifically in tunneling, time and cost optimization in tunneling projects, knowledge of various mechanized tunneling methods in the implementation of urban tunnels particularly the excavation utilizing TBM-EPB machine, and application of soft computing in projects with high uncertainty circumstances such as tunneling projects.
