Dr. Ramesh Ganju is an Endowed Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Pathology at the Ohio State University. He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science. The major focus of his lab is to elucidate mechanisms that regulate tumor growth and metastasis and to develop immune-based therapies for solid tumors. He has identified signaling pathways that regulate tumor growth, chemo-invasion, and metastasis of tumor cells, especially in breast and lung cancer. He has also elucidated the role of pro and anti-inflammatory molecules in the tumor microenvironment. He has published around 110 manuscripts.

Kenneth B Storey is a Canadian. He completed his graduation in 1971 at the University of Calgary in Biochemistry and received a doctorate in 1974 at the University of British Columbia in Zoology. He was appointed as Associate Professor in Biochemistry and Biology at Carleton University, Ottawa. Our team investigates the role of stem cells and their derivative exosomes in anti-cancer drug-induced cardiac toxicities and diabetes-induced muscle myopathy and cardiomyopathy. He is an Academic Editor for PLoS One and associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology as well and he is serving as an Editorial board member for different journals such as the American Journal of Physiology: Heart and Circulatory. He served as a chair, of the TPIG committee, the American Physiology Society, and a general secretary for the North American section of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences. He is the President of the international society for adaptive Medicine. He is a fellow International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences, the American Physiological Society, and the American Heart Association. He is a reviewer for different journals. He served as a chair for various scientific sessions throughout the world. He has also organized a scientific conference. He has published a book on stem cells and is an author/ coauthor for more than 100 peer-reviewed papers.

Dr. Helena Moreira is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Basic Medical Science of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Wroclaw Medical University (Poland). She completed her doctoral studies at the Institute Gilbert-Laustriat (at Departement Physicochimie des Interactions Cellulaires et Moleculaires) in Strasbourg in France where she was working on the molecular mechanisms of TNF-A secretion, a key cytokine in chronic inflammation, and Dr. Moreira is deeply interested in research on cancer treatment, especially in studying the anti-cancer mechanisms of various natural plant extracts and polyphenols. She has an extensive experience in cancer research, cell cultures, and flow cytometry. Currently, her interests focus on cancer stem cells, especially in colorectal cancer. She is the organizer of many trainings and conferences and participates in many research projects.

Prof. Rony Seger became a group leader at the Weizmann Institute of Science in 1994 promoted to full professor in 2007 and was the head of the Department of Biological Regulation (2011-2017). His research group is interested in MAPK and AKT signaling and in particular in the subcellular localization of their components. Recently, the group elucidated the distinct mechanisms of nuclear translocation of ERK and p38/JNK, which are used as anti-cancer and inflammation targets. Dr. Seger published more than 230 papers, supervised more than 80 research students and post-docs, and received many prizes and awards.

PROF. HANNA ENGELBERG-KULKA was born in Vienna, Austria. Maria Principia Scavo: Clinical Pathologist. Dr. Maria Principia studied Biology Science at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", Italy, and graduated with an MS in 2001. She then joined the research group of Prof. Papa at the Institute of Biochemistry and Medical Biology at the University of Bari for her PhD and received her PhD degree in 2004. After 6years of postdoctoral fellowship supervised by Dr. Barone at the Gastroenterology Laboratory, University of Bari, and 3 years at the Laboratory of Nanomedicine, Methodist Research Institute of Houston, she obtained the position of a Senior Biologist at the National Institute of Gastroenterology IRCCS deBellis, Castellana Grotte BARI, ITALY. Hai Rao, Professor and Chair of Biochemistry, School of Medicine, Southern University of Science and Technology. Dr. Hai Rao is currently a Professor and Chair of Biochemistry at the Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen, China. Prior to this position, he was a tenured professor at the University of Texas Health. His laboratory's long-term goal is to understand the mechanism and function of ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis in health and diseases (e.g., cancers and neurodegenerative disorders). His laboratory has dissected how key cellular regulators are selected for degradation by the proteasome via an integrated approach (biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, genomics, and proteomics). Roberto Negro obtained his Ph.D. in 2009 after a joint program between the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Medical Biology of the University of Bari Italy and the Department of Biochemistry of the Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI, USA) where his research activity was focused on the molecular analysis structural characterization of mitochondria DNA helicase Twinklein patients with altered mitochondria DNA. He then started the first postdoctoral study at the International Centre of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB, located in Rome) focusing on the role of the protein tyrosine phosphatases, in particular, PTPN22, in the development of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). In 2013 he was accepted as a postdoc at the Harvard Medical School, in Boston, and started a research field on the novel intracellular mechanism of pathogens recognition named 'inflammasome'. Here he dissected the molecular and cellular mechanism of activation of two classes of inflammasomes, NLRP3 and NLRP6. In 2020 he started a position as a researcher in Italy, at the National Institute of Gastroenterology (IRCCS Saverio de Bellis, Castellana Grotte, Bari, Italy) where he is actually taking advantage of certain inflammasome aspects to suppress gastrointestinal tumor growth.

Dr. Gulay Sezer is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacology of the Faculty of Medicine at the Erciyes University (Turkiye). After studying Pharmacy in Ankara Hacettepe University graduated from Erciyes University in 2002 with an MS degree. She received her doctorate degree from the same institution, the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology in 2007. During her doctorate, she had the opportunity to work in the Department of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow, Poland.
