Lawrence Berliner is a pioneer in protein structure and diagnostic technique research starting at Stanford University, then Ohio State University and now retired from the University of Denver and the Graduate Toxicology Program, Univ. of Colorado School of Pharmacy. His team was the first to develop thiol specific spin labels, which became the basis of Site Directed Spin Labeling (SDSL) for studying membrane protein structure and other proteins that cannot be crystallized. He has been a leader in early detection and prevention of destructive free radical processes. His other research has involved protein-protein interactions, blood coagulation, serine proteases and lactose biosynthesis.

Prof. Richard Spontak, a Distinguished Professor at NC State University, received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and pursued post-doctoral research at Cambridge University before joining P&G in 1990 and NC State in 1992. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed journal papers. He has received numerous research awards including the NC State Holladay Medal for Excellence, the ACS (PMSE) Tess Award, the SPSJ International Award, the IChemE Underwood Medal, the ACS (Rubber) Chemistry of Thermoplastic Elastomers Award, and the IOM3 Colwyn Medal. An elected APS, IOM3, ACS-PMSE, and RSC fellow, he is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences.

Yasar Demirel has a background in chemical engineering with degrees from the University of Birmingham, Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, Hacettepe University, and King Fahd University Petroleum & Minerals. He has worked as a professor, lecturer, and visiting scholar at various universities in the US, UK, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. His thesis topic was three-phase distillation column design and simulation. He also worked as an associate professor and senior lecturer in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Virginia Tech, and Winona State University. He was a full professor and associate professor at Cukurova University in Turkey.

Christopher J Koroneos is a chemical engineer who has completed his Ph.D. in Energy Science at Columbia University. He has also taught courses in Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Life Cycle Analysis at various universities in Greece and the United States. His professional experience includes working on projects such as the Ethanol Derivatives Process, the HYGAS Gasification process, and the PYZEL fluidised bed cement process. Dr. Yu Chen Hu received his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University (1992) and earned his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Maryland (USA) in 1999. He worked as a post-doc at the National Institutes of Health from 1999 to 2000 and returned to the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 2000. Dr. Hu's main research interests include vaccine development, gene therapy, tissue engineering, cancer therapy and synthetic biology. Dr. Hu's lab has developed the enterovirus 71 (EV71) vaccine based on virus-like particle technology. Dr. Hu also utilizes baculovirus as a gene vector to deliver various genes encoding microRNA, long non-coding RNA, CRISPR gene regulation and RNA editing systemsinto adult stem cells/cell sheet for tissue regeneration. Dr. Hu's works have paved a new avenue to the use of baculovirus as a novel vector for regenerative medicine. Dr. Hu exploits and develops various CRISPR systems to engineer the genome of various microorganisms, which enables the pathway genes integration into microbial genome and specifically blocking of gene expression in competing pathways. The gene engineering and manipulation allows for developing recombinant microbial strains to produce various chemicals of interest. Dr. Canan Acar is an Assistant Professor of Thermal Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering Technology of the University of Twente. She received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Ontario Tech University, where she developed a hybrid photoelectrochemical system that generates heat, electricity, chlorine, hydrogen, and clean water. Her Ph.D. thesis received the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award and the Governor-General of Canada's Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. With over 15 years of experience in hydrogen production, storage, and end-use technologies, Dr. Acar has published about 40 international peer-reviewed journal papers and 12 book chapters. She also worked as a sustainability consultant in Chicago, focusing on energy and waste management. Her current research focuses on integrating hydrogen into existing and novel energy systems for optimized decarbonization pathways.

Associate Professor Dr. Ng Eng Poh received his BSc (First Class Honors) degree (2004) in Industrial Chemistry and MSc in Chemistry (2006) from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. He obtained his PhD degree in 2009 from University of Upper Alsace, France under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Svetlana Mintova. After post-doctoral work in the University of Caen, France, he was appointed as a senior lecturer in 2010 at the Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is currently an Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry. His main research interests are synthesis and application of nanoporous silica-based materials for adsorption, catalysis and new applications. Prof. Blaz Likozar is a head of the Department of Catalysis and Chemical Reaction Engineering at the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC), leading the programme "Chemical Reaction Engineering", as well as numerous research projects (15 H2020 / 30 in Horizon Europe alone). Lasanthi Sumathirathne is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Kayode Coker PhD is Engineering Consultant for AKC TECHNOLOGY, an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Wolverhampton, U.K. a former Engineering Coordinator at Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (SASREF) and Chairman of the department of Chemical Engineering Technology at Jubail Industrial College, Saudi Arabia. Sara Srebrenkoska (SS) is employed as an Assistant professor at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University "Goce Delcev" (UGD) of Stip, Macedonia. SS is a teaching professor at module: mechanical engineering - production technologies. SS has been doing research in the areas of advanced composites materials and automatization of the processes, industrial engineering and management, production engineering, mathematical modeling of the processes, design of the experiment, mechanical characterization of the materials etc. SS authored and co-authored more than 15 published papers. Mohaned Aboshatta is a PhD researcher at the department of chemical and process engineering, University of Strathclyde, UK. My current area of research is about the utilization of deep eutectic solvents for carbon capture processes and materials science (Low Carbon Technology). My research background is quite eclectic and encompasses subjects such as synthesis, characterization and application of deep eutectic solvents, green composites, energy efficiency, rheology, computational fluid dynamics and mass transfer modelling. He has successfully won some research grants/funding and scholarships. Karol Kyziol is Professor at AGH in the field of Materials Engineering, Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Modelling and Head of Laboratory of Vapour Deposited Materials. His conducted scientific research received several awards for scientific achievement from the Rector of AGH UST (2013, 2014, 2016). Furthermore, the results of the conducted studies concerning aluminum treatment (in cooperation with TUL) were distinguished, inter alia, at the international exhibition INTEX in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia, 2012). Additionally, at this exhibition the studies received a gold medal and during the exhibitions in Seul (Korea, 2012) and Cluj-Napoca (Romania, 2013) a gold and bronze medal, respectively.

Vitaly Ordomsky is a Senior Researcher at the Université de Lille in France, affiliated with the Unité de Catalyse et Chimie du Solide. Lingai LUO received her Bachelor's (1982) and Master's (1984) degrees in thermal energy engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China. She received her Ph.D. degree (1991) in mechanic and thermal engineering from National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL), Nancy, France. She worked as assistant professor (1991-1993) at INPL, as associate professor (1993-1996) at University of Nancy I, and at INPL (1996-2003). From 2003 until 2012 she was a professor at University of Savoie, France. She is now senior research director of French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) at the laboratory of thermo-kinetics, Nantes (LTN), France. Dr. Luo is the author of 2 books and about 100 journal articles. From 2007 until 2012, she was the head of laboratory of design optimization and environmental engineering (LOCIE) of CNRS and University of Savoie. She was the cofounder and coordinator of Sino-French Collaboratory for Environmental and Process Engineering (1998 - 2006) and is the head of its successor Sino-French Laboratory for Sustainable Energy (2008-2014) of French CNRS and Chinese Academy of Sciences. She is also an invited professor at 5 Chinese universities/institutions, and Leuphana University at Laneburg, Germany.

Hongying Zhao is an Associate Professor at the School of Chemical Science and Engineering at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. She has been a professor at Tongji University since 2020. Hongying Zhao received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2008. Tarik Chafik is a full Professor, Research Director, and Master courses coordinator at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Tangier (FSTT) in Morocco. She still serves as editor in some distinguished journals and as reviewer for more than 20 journals.She is an active member of Green Chemistry Association, Oregon University, US, Green Technology Group, Lunds University, Sweden, International Hydrology Sciences Association and Hydrology Center, UK, Swedish and Danish Chemical Societies and SusChem (Sustainable Chemistry) Organization. Together with her colleagues, she established Green Chemistry and Sustainable Technology Group in Turkey, which is a very young but very dynamic R&D group consisting of academic sand post-graduate students. She is providing consultancy to various universities, research organizations and government bodies. She also works as the CSO of a private company developing green technologies and methodologies.

Youssef Tamraoui, 35 years old, is an Assistant Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Bengurir, Morocco. Graduated from Hassan 1st University, he received his Ph.D. in Jun 2015. He spent two years as post-doctoral fellow at the Materials Science Energy and Nano-engineering Department (UM6P, Morocco). He has strong skills in design and synthesis of functional materials for energy storage and conversion, and catalytic applications (perovskites, Spinel, Apatite's, Scheelite..),as will as the design of smart material for building applications with high performances. With high skills in structural refinements of several types of materials using X-ray powder diffraction, synchrotron radiation, and neutrons powder diffraction. Within sustainable materials and recycling contexts, he has strong skills on the valorization of industrial by-products issued mainly from phosphate industry and their development into new materials with high added value such as the development of geopolymer materials, eco-cement, nano-silica, ceramic wall tile as well as process of phosphogypsum transformation into new products. He also worked on the improvement of phosphoric acid production process by investigating the problematic of heavy metals (Cd, As, Zn, Mg, Al, Ni, Mn.....). In the energy field Dr. TAMRAOUI is working on the development of new functional materials-based local raw materials end natural resources (Graphite; Apatite and phosphate; Nano silica; Manganeseoxide; F class fly ash, clays) for modern application such as solid oxide fuel cell, supercapacitors, CO2 reduction, and batteries. He has authored/co-authored over 60 articles, conference papers, and 6 national and international patents.
