Professor Eric Wolanski is an oceanographer and ecohydrologist at James Cook University, Australia. His research interests range from the oceanography of coral reefs, mangroves, and muddy estuaries, to the interaction between physical and biological processes determining ecosystem health in tropical waters. He has 420 publications, including 12 books. His h-index is 83 and he has 23,421 citations. Eric is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, the Institution of Engineers Australia (ret.), and Academic Royale des Sciences dOutre-Mer (Belgium). Dr. Simón Navarro has a degree (1984) and a Ph.D. (1987) in Chemistry from the University of Murcia (UM), Spain. In 1990, he gained a position as a Tenured Professor in the Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Geology and Pedology(School of Chemistry) at the UM and was promoted to Full Professor in 2009 in the same Department. He is a responsible researcher of the Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry Group at UM. His research focuses on the environmental behavior of agrochemicals (ORCID: 0000-0002-0543-7928). Dr. Sunil Paul M. Menacherry completed his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University, India in 2016. After a long stay (~ 4 years) at the environmental engineering division of Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Republic of Korea, he is presently (from October 2019) associated with the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), Prague, Czech Republic. As an enthusiastic environmental analytical chemist, his research at CZU mainly involves studies on the fate and behavior of organic pollutants in the natural environment. He has published over 20 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals.

Chris Maser spent over 25 years as a research scientist in natural history and ecology in the forest, shrub steppe, subarctic, desert, coastal, and agricultural settings. Trained primarily as a vertebrate zoologist, he was a research mammalogist in Nubia, Egypt, (1963-1964) with the Yale University Peabody Museum Prehistoric Expedition and a research mammalogist in Nepal (1966-1967), where he participated in a study of tick-borne diseases for the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit #3 based in Cairo, Egypt. He conducted a three-year (1970-1973) ecological survey of the Oregon Coast for the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington. He was a research ecologist with the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management for thirteen years the first seven (1974-1981) studying the biophysical relationships in rangelands in southeastern Oregon and the last six (1982-1987) studying old-growth forests in western Oregon. He also spent a year as a landscape ecologist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (1990-1991). Today Chris is an independent author as well as an international lecturer; facilitator in community vision statements, sustainable community development, and in resolving social-environmental conflicts. He is also an international consultant in forest ecology and sustainable forestry practices. Chris has written over 290 publications, including 46 books that he has either written, coauthored, or edited. The books are in libraries in 78 countries, including the United States and Canada.

Akas Pinaringan Sujalu Ph.d is an Associate Professor in Agrotechnology at the University of 17 Agustus 1945 Samarinda, East Kalimantan province, Indonesia. Currently has 11 intellectual property rights and 12 books. In addition, he has published 135 articles in various journals, while also serving as an editor and reviewer in various national and international publications. Salah OUHAMDOUCH majored in geology as an undergraduate, doing thesis work in Water resources and climate change. In graduate school at the Cadi Ayyad University (Morocco), he used hydrclimatology, piezometric, hydrogeochemistry and isotope hydrology methods for evaluating the climate change impact on water resources from semi-arid areas within Morocco by taking the Essaouira basin as an example. He received his Ph.D. in Sciences and Techniques (Speciality: Georesources, Climate Change, and Environment) in late 2020. Shuai Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Environmental Engineering Department of Shanghai Polytechnic University since 2018. Since September 2021, He has become a guest investigator (Post-doc) at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the University of Gothenburg with the fund of the China Scholarship Council (CSC). His research focuses on emerging pollutant treatment. Lenia Gonsalvesh is an associate professor in Analytical chemistry (Instrumental Methods for Analysis) specialty in the Chemistry Department of the Natural Sciences Faculty at "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" University Burgas city and she is the Head of the Central Scientific Research Laboratory at the University Research Institute. Her initial research interests are in the field of biodesulfurization of solid fuels, presented in a number of publications and a doctoral dissertation entitled Sulfur and organic sulfur alterations in biodesulfurized low-rank coal, and subsequently extended into the detailed characterization of geological samples and waste pyrolysis products, i.e. fossil fuels, humic acids, activated carbon, etc. In her research practice, Lenia uses a wide range of analytical approaches, experimental strategies, and instrumental techniques and further develops a large part of them. Her other significant scientific contributions are related to the utilization of waste products, through the so-called slow pyrolysis followed by activation, chemical and physicochemical characterization of the obtained products and their adsorption behavior toward inorganic pollutants in aqueous solutions. Last but not least, Lenia focuses on ambient air quality as well, more precisely on a particulate matter associated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Lenia specialized in Turkey, Belgium, and Ukraine and worked as a researcher and supervisor in a number of national and international projects, i.e. International Atomic Energy Agency, Seventh Framework Program of European Union, and Cross-Border Cooperation Program Bulgaria - Turkey. She is a co-author of more than 45 scientific publications and reports presented at more than 30 different scientific forums. Lenia leads lectures and exercises in the disciplines of Modern methods of analysis, Instrumental methods of analysis, Analytical Chemistry, Organic analysis, etc.

Michael Webb is a Principal Research Scientist with CSIRO, Australia, and has had more than 30 years of experience in research projects on soil fertility and plant nutrition in many temperate and tropical crops (plantation timber trees, wheat, barley, canola, cassava, taro, coffee, cocoa, oil palm). Dr. Webb has a developing interest in the constraints faced by smallholder farmers in the adoption of soil fertility and plant nutrition management strategies such constraints limit the uptake of available technologies and thus the uptake of sustainable soil management strategies. Most of his research has been in the humid tropics on international aid projects. The focus of his research is to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farming families through better crop nutrition and nutrient recycling. He has traveled to and worked with local farmers and researchers in Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Thailand, China, Indonesia, The Philippines, Papua New Guinea (20 years; lived in PNG for 2 years), Samoa, Fiji, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Tonga, Niue, The Solomon Islands, USA, and Australia. He has presented or been involved in international scientific training workshops in many of the countries in which he has had projects – often funded by international agencies such as FAO/UNDP and the Crawford Fund. Most of his research has been funded by CSIRO and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).

Prof. Dr. MSc. Eng. Dilier Olivera Viciedo is a Visiting Researcher Professor at UFMA, Brazil, and has had more than 10 years of experience in research projects on soil fertility and plant nutrition in many tropical crops. Dr. Masoud Taheriyoun is an assistant professor in environmental engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Isfahan, Iran. His research interests range from water quality management and water and wastewater treatment and modeling. He has supervised more than 23 theses for the MSc. students in various topics related to risk analysis of wastewater reuse, simulation of treatment processes, river water quality management, and experimental studies in lab and pilot scales relating to different wastewater treatment processes. Dr. Noha Mostafa is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering and Management at The British University in Egypt. She got her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and systems management from Zagazig University. In 2016, I was a visiting Ph.D. student at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan and I finished my Ph.D. degree in 2017 from Egypt-Japan University. Dr. Noha has broad expertise including supply chain management, logistics, operations management, sustainability, design thinking, and innovation management. She has published about 50 papers in international journals and conferences. I have been working in training and consultation for 15 years and participated in events in more than 20 countries through which she built a strong local and global network in academia and industry. She was awarded the 'Outstanding faculty advisor award' in 2020 by IEOM Society, USA. She never stops learning, not just in my major field but in broad topics including arts, literature, and history. She believes that it is necessary to have artistic and political interests that complement the character of a human being.

Dr Mohammad Hossein Sayadi (MH Sayadi) obtained his PhD in Environmental Sciences, Pune University, Pune, India, in 2010. He is now working at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, University of Birjand. His main scientific interests concern the development of nanostructured materials including functional nanoparticles and nanocomposites for applications in for environmental remediation and also nano-toxicology. He has authored 2 patent applications, 3 book and published over 250 papers in international peer reviewed journals which mainly indexed in the indexed databases like Web of Science and Scopus. He has completed the supervision of 38 ME theses and 6 PhD students. At the present he supervises (and co-) the scientific work of 12 PhD students and 11 MSc students. He has been strongly involved to several teaching activities namely by lecturing topics for post-graduation students within the subjects Advance Nanomaterial. Cristina Calheiros is Environmental Engineer with a PhD in Biotechnology. Brou Richmond Konan is an Ivorian Ph.D. student. His field of study takes into account air-rain water-ground water. For his research work, he works on the health impact of PAH and the Heavy metals from the environment on the population of Abidjan. His first results show that air and water contain fairly toxic substances that are defined as carcinogens by US-EPA and IARC. It has been shown that children are more exposed to cancer than adults. These results have been published in the Journal of Water and Health and he participated in an international symposium in Yamoussoukro and another in Benin. Brou participated in several study missions aimed at raising awareness of protection measures and the treatment of water.

Dr. Carmen Palacios is an Assistant Professor at the University of Perpignan, France. Prof. Dr. Rongshuo CAI is a professor at the Research Center for Marine Sustainable Development, Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources of China. His research interests include the impacts of and adaptation to climate change on the coastal ecosystems (mangroves and coral reefs) and coastland areas.He is the Chief Scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program of China on the Comprehensive Risk of Global Change in Coastal Zone and Coastland of China. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hadi Dehghani is a Full Professor at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health Engineering, Tehran, Iran. Nayerah Shalout Ph.D. Marine Chemistry 2008, Faculty of Science Alexandria University, and she is working as an Associate Professor of Marine Chemistry, at the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, Egypt. She is serving as an Ocean acidification expert for IOC_UNESCO for the strategy of UN sustainable development for the theme ocean acidification 14.1 (2018-2021).

Tamar has an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion, Israel. She is a senior lecturer and a researcher in the Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Management at the University of Haifa, and the head of the M.A. cluster Management of Urban Sustainability. Her research interests lie in the area of sustainability, ranging from theory, through policy design, to planning and evaluation, including several aspects of public space lighting. Over the years, her integrative work has yielded many publications. Tamar has also gained an extensive professional experience in environmental planning and consulting with government ministries and authorities, local authorities, and NGOs.

Tribhuwan Singh. Bisht is a Ph.D. candidate in the civil engineering department at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. His research interests include municipal solid waste management, environmental indices, fuzzy analysis, multi-criteria decision-making, and microplastics in landfills. Nouf Abd Elmunim is an assistant professor, in the Electrical department college of engineering at Princess NourahBint Abdul Rahman University, Saudi Arabia currently. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from The National University of Malaysia, Faculty of Engineering and Space Science Centre in Malaysia, with a focus on radio wave propagations, space communication, upper atmospheric layer, global navigation satellite system (GNSS), GPS satellite signals, modeling, ionospheric correction, and ionospheric models.

Khadiza Tul Kobra Nahin is a climate activist, interested in research focusing on gender and water, flood and disaster, climate change adaptation and resilience, sustainable resource management, transboundary water pollution, urban health, and the environment. So far, she worked with globally known organizations ICIMOD, IDRC/CRDI, Saci WATERs, Oxfam Nepal, World Space Week, Hult prize, and Global Youth Biodiversity Network with national and international participants. She is a SAWA Fellow (South Asian Water Leadership Program on Climate Change) for two years coordinated by the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) which led her to grow interested in water, gender, and integration approaches. She was also a Youth Basin Ambassador in the Regional Youth Dialogue of Oxfam and was engaged in research and policy review with co-authors from the GBM Basin with a transboundary approach. Currently working as a Research Associate and Teaching Fellow at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University. She pursued B.Sc. in Geography and Environment, a second major in Computer Science and Engineering, and M.Sc. in Water Resource Development from reputed public universities in Bangladesh.

Mustapha jamoukh is a Research Professor in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the Higher Normal School of Technical Education of Mohammedia, Hassan II University of Casablanca, Morocco. His Scientific and technical research work focuses on the development of biodegradable materials and recycled materials more environmentally friendly responding to the major preoccupation of the industrial world and the growing societal demand. Taking a giant step forward in the development of "sustainable materials", this work concerns the problems of materials of organic or inorganic, vegetable or animal origin, or hybrids. He is a Co-researcher at the Technical Center for Plastics, Rubber, and Composites and a Coordinator of the University Professional License in Industrial Engineering. Contributions of the research include the behavioral characterization of innovative materials for sustainable development. He is a Member of the team of innovative and energetic materials within the laboratory of modeling and simulation of intelligent industrial systems.

Chukwuma Anoruo is a research scientist at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His research interests range from the physics of the lower atmosphere to the physics of the upper atmosphere (Space Physics) and presently focusing on the variations of electron content in the upper earth’s atmosphere during geomagnetic storms. He is a member of several international organizations and has several publications in peer-reviewed journals, including a book. Prof. Dr. Fernando A.L. Pacheco holds a Ph.D. degree in Hydrogeology (2001) from the Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro University (UTAD, Portugal) and Habilitation title in Environmental Geochemistry (2011) from the UTAD. He headed the Geology Department from 2013to 2021 and integrated the Scientific Council from the UTADs School of Life and Environmental Sciences from 2017 to 2021. He was the person in change (PEP) for the creation and is the current Director of a Master Course in Applied Geosciences and of a Post-Graduation Course in Environmental Disasters and Risk Reduction. He is invited teacher of short-term courses on water resources management and environmental issues in various Brazilian Universities, including the Sao Paulo State University (UNESP). He supervised more than 60 students, including Post-Doc, PhD, MSc and other students. He joined the Vila Real Chemistry Research Centre in 2005, where He still develops most of his research. He also collaborates with three Brazilian research centers registered in the CNPqand anchored in three state or federal Universities. He published nearly110 research papers in International high-impact journals, co-authored by approximately 120 scientists of a various nationalities (Portugal, The Netherlands, Brazil, Hungary, Germany, Italy and Spain). Luis Filipe Sanches Fernandes is an Associate Professor with habilitation in the Engineering Department (Civil Engineering) in the area of hydraulics, water resources, and the environment. He is a full member at the Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences (CITAB). He is Associate Editor or Section Editor of three Scopus journals and he has a 31 h-index Scopus with more than 100 articles published in the fields of hydrologic models in watersheds, multivariate statistical and environmental analyses of surface and groundwater databases, and the attenuation of hydrologic extremes (floods, droughts) through implementation of detention basins and decentralized rainwater harvesting systems. He participated and coordinated several research and university extension projects. He is currently coordinating the Entire project related to the consequences for Paraopeba River water quality and the public water supply of a tailings dam collapse in Brumadinho (Minas Gerais, Brazil). He has supervised or co-supervised 4 Ph.D. theses and 35 master dissertations. He was a member of 2 terms in pedagogical councils, 2 terms in scientific councils, and 1 term in the general council in UTAD.

A Marine Biologist, Corina expertise is in functional ecotoxicology, focusing on biological responses of marine organisms to environmental stressors. Prior to working at the University of Brighton, UK, Corina was a full-time Research Fellow at the University of Sussex, UK after starting as a Research Assistant for the Romanian National Marine Institute. She was involved in a wide range of international research programmes (International Mussel Watch, EU Interreg Channel),investigatingthe detoxification mechanisms in marine invertebrates, DNA damage and impairment of reproduction mechanisms. Recently, Corina has developed a strong interest in the marine microplastics pollution and the potential input from boating associated activities. Corina has published her research in high impact scientific journals, written book chapters and has appeared in TV and radio programs centred around her research into the contamination of the aquatic environment. Corina teaches Marine Biology at the University of Brighton UK and she brings a lot of her personal experience into the class room, encouraging students to participate in laboratory research and coastal surveys. In her spare time, Corina enjoys travelling, running, reading and walking her dog, Lulu.

Prior to joining AUS, Kazi Parvez Fattah worked as an environmental engineering consultant in Canada and as a faculty member in Bangladesh. His research interests are in environmental management of water and wastewater treatment systems, water distribution network, removal and recovery of nutrients, treatment of desalination reject/brine water; water reuse, application of nanoparticles in concrete and green concrete. He is currently the Deputy Editor of Journal of Environmental Engineering and Science (JEES), ICE. He is actively involved with collaborators worldwide and a reviewer for various journals and conferences. He is passionate about sustainability and increasing students social awareness on environmental topics.

Dr. Tufan Ghosh is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Hydromechanics and Modeling of Hydrosystems, University of Stuttgart, Germany. He completed his doctoral thesis at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. His doctoral thesis deals with the modeling and simulations of two-phase flow through homogeneous and heterogeneous porous medium. He develops an analytical solution of the Stokes’ problem analogue for composite free flow and porous media flow. Now he is working on the project entitled “Pore scale formulations for evaporation, and upscaling to REV scale” under the framework of Sonderforschungsbereich 1313 (SFB1313) funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). His main research interests are (but not limited to) Mathematical modeling of evaporation process in porous media, upscaling of multiphase flow equations (Homogenization method), multi-phase flows through porous medium, mathematical modeling of enhanced oil recovery (EOR), displacement based modeling of flow through porous medium, free flow porous medium flow coupling processes for multi-phase systems. He is the Scientific Advisor of Mathematics at Iccha Foundation. He was the Academic Program Committee Coordinator for the 85th Annual Meeting of Indian Mathematical Society (IMS 2019) held at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. He holds the Life Membership with the Indian Mathematical Society (IMS) and an active member of the International Society for Porous Media (InterPore).

Farida Dechmi is a researcher at the Agrifood Research and Technology Centre of Aragon (CITA-Aragon), located in Zaragoza (Spain) since 2006, in the area of water quality and diffuse pollution.Her research group is also linked with the Aula Dei Experimental Station of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC-EEAD) forming the Irrigation Agronomy and the Environment research Group, one of the largest groups in Spain in this area.Prior working at CITA-Aragon, she was at Quebec Research and Development Centre of Agriculture and Agrifood Canada as a Postdoctoral researcher, working on a similar topic, mainly on phosphorus diffuse pollution. Her actual research work focuses on integral management of irrigation water and fertilizers, and diffuse pollution assessment through international, national and local research projects. Her work is based on both field experiments and use of irrigation, crop and hydrological simulation models at the field and watershed scales. She has published numerous scientific (27 SCI), and technical papers (11 non-SCI articles) and have participated in the publication of 9 book chapters. She has supervised or co-supervised a total of 3 Ph.D. Thesis and 4 Master dissertations.

Dr. Punit Arora (Ph.D., Syracuse U.) is the Chair of the Economics &Business department at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at the City University of New York (CUNY). His research examines issues surrounding new business-society compact, sustainability, CSR, corporate governance, social issues in management and entrepreneurship. Dr. Mohammad Mafizur Rahman (known as Mafiz Rahman) is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia. Ec., and Ph.D., he taught various economics courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in three different universities in Australia and overseas. Dr. Nour Shafik El-Gendy is a Professor in the field of Petroleum and Environmental Biotechnology. Acting Head of Process Design & Development Department and Former Head Manager of Petroleum Biotechnology Lab, Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute. Vice Coordinator of the Scientific Research Committee and member of Rural Woman Committee, National Council for Women (NCW) of Egypt. Executive committee member in the Egyptian Young Academy of Sciences (EYAS). Former Advisor for the Egyptian Minister of Environment. El-Gendy is an expert in the field of environmental pollution, wastewater treatment, biofuel, petroleum upgrading, green chemistry, nanobiotechnology, valorization of wastes, and biocorrosion. She has published four chapters, four books, and 107 research papers, and supervised 26 MSc and Ph.D. thesis in the field of; biofuels, bio corrosion, environmental pollution, bioremediation, upgrading of agro-industrial wastes, nanobiotechnology, wastewater treatment, and upgrading of petroleum. Dr. El-Gendy is also an editor and reviewer in 37 and 75 international journals, respectively, in the field of; environmental biotechnology and pollution, bioenergy, nanobiotechnology, and petroleum microbiology and biotechnology. Dr. Angel Mujica, plant breeder with 40 years of experience in research and technology transfer of Andean Crops, particularly Quinoa, Kiwicha, Canihua, Tarwi. The key topics of research of dr. Renata D. van der Weijden are water quality, and recovery of nutrients and metals from aqueous and solid waste streams. She is affiliated with Wageningen University and Research, University College Roosevelt of Utrecht University and Wetsus. The latter is the European centre of excellence for sustainable water technology. She did her PhD research at Utrecht University and Delft University of Technology. Apart from research, she teaches courses in environmental science and technology, biological water treatment and biocrystallization. I am Isaac Ayo Oluwatimilehin, a PhD student of the department of Geography, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. My general research interest cuts across physical and human dimensions of the environment with specific focus on the integrated impacts of climate change on natural and human systemsthrough the use of geospatial, quantitative and qualitative techniques. My interest in Environmental Research was borne out of concern forfood and water security and preservation of natural environment.
