Prof. Walid Daoud is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. He graduated from the University of Technology Graz, Austria, with a Dipl-Ing degree (BS and MS) in Chemical Engineering and received his PhD in flexible bilayer photovoltaic cells from the University of Sheffield, UK. Prof. Daoud’s current research is mainly focused on the areas of energy harvesting and smart wearable technologies. His group is developing approaches for harvesting free or waste energy, such as light and kinetic energies. Being intermittent sources, it is equally important to find storage solutions for this form of energy. Therefore, the group is interested in the modeling and design of compatible batteries. He has received international renown and several awards for his pioneering research on wearable solar and kinetic energy harvesting technologies. His research has been featured in Nature (2004) and Science (2008) and broadcasted through interviews by major international media, such as Reuters (2014), BBC (2015) SCMP (2017), Physics World (2021), and PV Magazine (2022). He has been invited to present Plenary and Keynote lectures at international conferences and is currently serving as the Chief Editor of Wearable Electronics, Frontiers in Electronics and Editorial/Advisory Board of Journal of Power Sources Advances and Industrial Chemistry & Materials.

Emilia Fridman received the M.Sc. degree from Kuibyshev State University, USSR, in 1981 and the Ph.D. degree from Voronezh State University, USSR, in 1986, all in mathematics. From 1986 to 1992 she was an Assistant and Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Kuibyshev Institute of Railway Engineers, USSR. Since 1993 she has been at Tel Aviv University, where she is currently a Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering. She has held numerous visiting positions including INRIA in Rocquencourt (France), Ecole Centrale de Lille (France), Valenciennes University (France), Leicester University (UK), Kent University (UK), CINVESTAV (Mexico), Zhejiang University (China), St. Petersburg IPM (Russia), Melbourne University (Australia), INRIA Saclay (France), KTH (Sweden). Her research interests include time-delay systems, networked control systems, distributed parameter systems, averaging, and extremum seeking. She has published more than 200 journal articles. She is the author/co-author of two monographs. She serves served as Associate Editor in Automatica, SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, and IMA Journal of Mathematical Control and Information. In 2014 she was Nominated as a Highly Cited Researcher by Thomson ISI. Since 2018, she has been the incumbent for Chana and Heinrich Manderman Chair on System Control at Tel Aviv University. She is IEEE Fellow. She is currently a member of the IFAC Council. In 2021 she was the recipient of the IFAC Delay Systems Life Time Achievement Award and of Kadar Award for outstanding research at Tel Aviv University.

J. Joshua Yang joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California in the Fall of 2020. He was a professor of the ECE department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 2015 and 2020. He spent about 8 years at HP Labs between 2007 and 2015, leading an emerging materials and devices team for memory and computing. His current research interest is Post CMOS hardware for neuromorphic computing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, where he published a number of field-defining papers and holds 118 granted and about 60 pending US Patents. He obtained his B.A. degree in mechanical engineering from Southeast University and Ph. D from the University of Wisconsin Madison in the Material Science Program in 2007. He is the Founder Chair of the IEEE Neuromorphic Computing Technical Committee, a recipient of the Powell Faculty Research Award, and also a recipient of the UMass distinguished faculty lecturer and UMass Chancellor’s Medal, the highest honor of UMass. He was named as a Spotlight Scholar of UMass Amherst in 2017. He is a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Cross Field. He was the chair of the 8th IEEE Nanotechnology SFBA Council Symposium on Emerging Non-volatile Memory Technologies and also the chair of the 10th symposium on “The Promise and Progress of Nanotech Enabled 2D Devices and Materials He was a co chair of the RRAM session of IEDM 2014. He has guest edited 8 journal special issues on Memory or unconventional computing. He serves on a number of advisory boards of international journals and conferences, such as ADVANCED INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS (Wiley), ADVANCED MATERIALS TECHNOLOGIES (Wiley), SMALL STRUCTURE (Wiley), and THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ELECTROCERAMICS, etc.

Dr. Mohamed Elmasry is a Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He is the worlds top expert in digital microchip design. His students hold key academic and R&D posts around the world, more than 300 of them. He has 9 patents, published over 600 research papers and 14 books. Mikael Ostling received his MSc and the Ph.D. degrees from Uppsala University, Sweden. He holds a position as a professor in solid-state electronics at KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He is the deputy president of KTH since 2017. He was the dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology, KTH, between 2004–12. Östling was a senior visiting Fulbright Scholar at Stanford University, and a visiting professor with the University of Florida, Gainesville. In 2005 he co-founded the company TranSiC, acquired in full by Fairchild Semiconductor in 2011. He was awarded the first ERC grant for advanced investigators. His research interests are nanoscaled Si and Ge device technologies and emerging 2D materials, as well as device technology for wide bandgap semiconductors for high-power / high-temperature applications. He has supervised 47 Ph.D. theses work and co-authored 500+ scientific papers published in international journals and conferences. Mikael Östling was an editor of the IEEE Electron Device Letters 2005-2014 and was appointed vice president of EDS 2014-15. He was editor-in-chief of the IEEE J-EDS 2016-19. Alexander G. Ramm was born in Russia, emigrated to USA in 1979 and is a US citizen. He is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics with broad interests in analysis, scattering theory, inverse problems, theoretical physics, engineering, signal estimation, tomography, theoretical numerical analysis and applied mathematics. He is an author of 718 research papers, 20 research monographs and an editor of 3 books. He has lectured at many Universities throughout the world, gave more than 150 invited and plenary talks at various Conferences and had supervised 11 Ph.D students. He was Fulbright Research Professor in Israel and Ukraine; distinguished visiting professor in Mexico and Egypt; Mercator Professor in Germany; Research Professor in France; invited plenary speaker at the 7-th PACOM; he won Khwarizmi international award in 2004 and received other honors. A.G.Ramm was the first to prove uniqueness of the solution to inverse scattering problems with fixed-energy scattering data; the first to prove uniqueness of the solution to inverse scattering problems with non-over-determined scattering data and the first to study inverse scattering prob- lems with under-determined scattering data. He studied inverse scattering problems for potential scattering and for scattering by obstacles. He solved many specific inverse problems and developed new methods and ideas in the area of inverse scattering problems. He introduced the notion of Property C for a pair of differential operators and applied Property C for one-dimensional and multi-dimensional inverse scattering problems. A. G. Ramm solved many-body wave scattering problem when the bodies are small particles of arbitrary shapes, assuming that a d λ, where a is the characteristic size of the particles, d is the minimal distance between neighboring particles, and λ is the wavelength in the material in which the small particles are embedded. Multiple scattering is essential under these assumptions. He used this theory to give a recipe for creating materials with a desired refraction coefficient and materials with a desired wave-focusing property. These results attracted attention of the scientists working in nanotechnology. A. G. Ramm gave formulas for the scattering amplitude for scalar and electromagnetic waves by small bodies of arbitrary shapes and analytical formulas for the polarizability tensors for these bodies. A. G. Ramm gave a solution to the Pompeiu problem, proved the Schiffer’s conjecture and gave many results about symmetry problems for PDE, including first symmetry results in harmonic analysis. A. G. Ramm has developed the Dynamical Systems Method (DSM) for solving linear and non- linear operator equations, especially ill-posed. These results were used numerically and demon- strated practical efficiency of the DSM. A. G. Ramm developed random fields estimation theory for a wide class of random fields. A. G. Ramm has developed a theory of convolution equations with hyper-singular integrals and solved analytically integral equations with hyper-singular kernels. These results he applied to the study of the NSP (Navier-Stokes problem). As a result, he solved the millennium problem concerning the Navier-Stokes equations. A. G. Ramm formulated and proved the NSP paradox which shows the contradictory nature of the NSP and the non-existence of its solution on the interval t ∈ [0, ∞) for the initial data v0(x) /≡ 0 and f (x, t) = 0. A. G. Ramm has introduced a wide class of domains with non-compact boundaries. He studied the spectral properties of the Schro¨dinger operators in this class of such domains and gave suffient conditions for the absence of eigenvalues on the continuous spectrum of these operators. A. G. Ramm developed the theory of local, pseudolocal and geometrical tomography. He has proved a variety of the results concerning singularities of the Radon transform and developed multidimensional algorithms for finding discontinuities of signals from noisy discrete data.

Prof. Jianyong Ouyang received his Ph.D., master and bachelor degrees from the Institute for Molecular Science in Japan, the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Science, and the Tsinghua University in Beijing, respectively. He worked as an assistant professor at the Japanese Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before joining the National University of Singapore (NUS) as an assistant professor in 2006. His research interests include flexible electronics and energy materials and devices. He invented the first polymer-nanoparticle resistive memory, the first hybrid ionic/electronic thermoelectric converter, the first adhesive intrinsically conducting polymer blend, and the first resistive sensor for food processing monitoring in the world, and continually reported world-record conductivities of solution-processable intrinsically conductive polymers, thermoelectric properties of polymers and world-record thermoelectric properties of ionic conductors.

Prof Eric Cheng obtained his BSc and Ph.D. degrees both from the University of Bath in 1987 and 1990 respectively. Before he joined Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1997, he was with Lucas Aerospace, United Kingdom as a Principal Engineer and led a number of power electronics projects. He is the electrical designer for Hong Kong's 1st commercial electric vehicle in Hong Kong. He is also the designer of the 1st charging network in Hong Kong. He received numerous awards related to electrical engineering, energy, and automotive. He has published over 500 papers and 7 books. He has over 100 interviews with the media on his research and development. He is now the professor and director of the Power Electronics Research Centre of the university. His research interests are all aspects of power electronics, Power Quality, Renewable energy, Motor drives, Energy Saving, EMI, high-speed rail, Electric vessels, Electric Vehicles, and Automotive advanced components. He is the recipient of the international award at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2015 Gold prize for his contribution to super-capacitor to electric vehicles, the 2016 iCAN Gold Medal for his contribution to active suspension, and the Gold Award of Hong Kong Innovation and Technology in 2017 and Genevas Invention Expo Silver Award for his contribution to the antilock braking system, in 2021. Prof. Cheng is a chartered engineer, and a fellow of IEEE, HKIE, and IET.

Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is a Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. He is an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia, recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre, in 1994, and SID Fellow since 2008. He is the author of 6 books, 31 reviews, and book chapters, about 322 journal papers, more than 677 Conference presentations, and 121 patents and patent applications including 38 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He got A Slottow Owaki Prize of SID in 2018 He is the 2019 Distinguished Fellow of IETI (International Engineering and Technology Institute). Lulu Wang is currently a Distinguished Professor of Biomechanical Engineering at Shenzhen Technology University, China. Abdurrahman Gumus received his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Istanbul University, Turkey, in 2005. He completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University, New York, USA, in 2010 and 2015. Farhad Rezazadeh is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the UPC and an R&D Engineer/Researcher at the CTTC. He is involved in some European and National 5G/B5G/6G projects with leading, technical, and PoC tasks. He was awarded the first patent connected to the H2020 5G-SOLUTIONS project. He was a secondee at NEC Lab Europe and had scientific missions at TUM, TUHH, and UdG. He won multiple competitive European, Government, and IEEE Grants and Fellowship. He serves as Organizing, Chair, Reviewer, and TPC member in IEEE and Guest Editor in Elsevier. His research interests are in the areas of XAI, Network Slicing, O-RAN, and 6G Verticals.

Shunli Wang is a professor at Southwest University of Science and Technology, who is also a doctoral supervisor. As the head of NELab and the new energy measurement & control research team, he closely focuses on the construction of control science and engineering disciplines, conducting the new energy measurement and control research with the collaborative battery state estimation. My name is Khaled Khachnaoui, and I am currently an assistant professor in mathematics at the University of Kairouan, at the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies. Dr. Khaizuran Abdullah is currently an Associate Professor, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and a Professional Engineer under the Board of Engineers Malaysia. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, in 2010. Dr. Abdullah also obtained a masters degree in electrical engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai in 2003, and, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University, Athens, USA in 1997. His research fields are 5G, energy harvesting and artificial intelligence in wireless communication, the Internet of Things, and signal processing communication. He is also an active IEEE senior member. He served as vice chair for the IEEE Communication Society/Vehicular Technology (Comsoc/VT) Malaysia Chapter as well as the counselor for the IEEE IIUM student branch for many years. He has published more than 80 technical documents consisting of books, journals, and conference proceedings. In addition, he has supervised more than 20 postgraduate students (Master&39s and Ph.D.). A total of more than RM500,000 in research grants have been used for his research projects (completed and ongoing) as principal investigator. He has also been invited as an external examiner at many universities in Malaysia such as UPM, UTM, UKM, MMU, UTP, and UPSI. Julian Hunt is a research scientist at the Climate and Livability Initiative, Center for Desert Agriculture, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia, where he focuses on implementing daily and seasonal storage energy technologies and analyzing the impact of these technologies for long-term energy planning. His research interests include analysis of energy systems, water-energy-land interfaces, climate change risks, energy security, and energy storage. Prior to joining KAUST, Hunt worked for seven years at IIASA. Hunt holds a D.Phil in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford and a B.Eng degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.

Dr. Munir A. Al Absi obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from KFUPM, Dhahran Saudi Arabia in 1984 and 1987 respectively. Obtained his Ph.D.from UMIST, the UK in 2001. Currently, he is a Professor at KFUPM EE department teaching electronics and instrumentation courses. His research interests include analog signal processing, CMOS low voltage, and low power design, circuits for biomedical applications, impedance simulation and impedance scaling for IC design applications, RF-DC converters, and time-mode circuits.

Dr. Max (Chong) Li is a faculty member in the department of electrical engineering at Columbia University (in the City of New York), the founder & CEO of Oort Network, co-founder of Nakamoto & Turing Labs Inc. (a New York-based research & consulting firm), partner of Aves Lair (a New York-based VC). He had been working with Qualcomm Research on 4G LTE and 5G systems design. He is an IEEE Senior member and the president of the Science & Technology Economic Committee at the China US Chamber of Commerce.

Hongzhang Wang received his Ph.D. degree at Tsinghua University in 2021. He is currently an assistant researcher (Shuimu Tsinghua Scholar) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tsinghua University. His research interests mainly focus on liquid metal multifunctional materials for developing soft robotics, including lightweight liquid metal, highly stretchable polymer that can transit between insulator and conductor, and liquid gripper for magnetically controlling nonmagnetic objects.

Prof. Blaz Likozar is a head of the Department of Catalysis and Chemical Reaction Engineering at the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC), leading the program Chemical Reaction Engineering as well as numerous research projects (15 H2020 23 in Horizon Europe alone). His expertise lies (among others) in heterogeneous catalysis materials, modeling, simulation, and optimization of process fluid mechanics, transport phenomena, and chemical kinetics. He worked at the University of Delaware from 2014–2015 as a Fulbright Program researcher. He has authored 290 articles and was cited 5000 times, having an h-index of 38.

Dr. Yong Yi works as a researcher at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 2017. His researches focus on novel dielectric material for the application of electrical power system; condition monitoring for the smart electrical grid; machine learning for high temperature polymer based dielectrics; conductor aging in the smart electrical grid high voltage engineering. Dr. Jianhua Yang is currently working at TSYS School of Computer Science, Columbus State University (CSU), Columbus, GA USA as a full Professor. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston, USA in 2006, and M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Shandong University, China in 1987, and 1990 respectively. Dr. Xingqi Zhang is currently an Assistant Professor at the University College Dublin (UCD). He is also an Associate Investigator at the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications in Ireland. Prior to joining UCD, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Toronto, where he obtained both his M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. His research is in the interdisciplinary areas of applied electromagnetic and wireless communications, with a focus on the development of high-performance computational models for emerging wireless technologies in 5G or 6G THz communications, intelligent transportation, industrial Internet of Things, as well as biomedical sensing and healthcare applications. He has served as an Associate Editor for the IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, and the IEEE Journal on Multiscale and Multiphysics Computational Techniques, as well as a TPC Member and Session Chair for several high-profile conferences. He was the recipient of the RIA Charlemont Award from the Royal Irish Academy, the Young Scientist Award from the International Union of Radio Science (URSI), and several Best Paper Awards at international symposia.

Associate Profess Xinsheng Wang was born in 1978. He received his BACHELOR of Science degree from the Dalian University of Technology in 2003, his Master of Science degree from the Dalian University of Technology in 2006, and his doctorate from the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2014. He is currently working at the School of Information Science and Engineering, Weihai Campus, Harbin Institute of Technology. Currently, his group focuses on AI chip design, VLSI circuit design based on RISC V and high precision Analog Digital Converter design， etc.

Dr. Jianxiong Zhu is an Associate Professor from Southeast University, China. He received d Ph.D. from the University of Missouri Columbia in 2015. After that, he worked as an assistant professor at the Beijing institute of Nanoenergy and Nanaosysem. He also worked as a postdoc at KAIST, Korea, and the National University of Singapore for several years. He has published over 50 peer review papers and the IF over 10 is 15. He is also on the youth editorial board for 5 journals. Prof. Dr. Zakaria M. Elbarbary was born in Kafrelsheikh, Egypt, on April 4, 1971. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Menoufia University, Shebin El Kom, Egypt, in 1994, 2002, and 2007, respectively. In 2009, he joined Kafrelsheikh University as an Assistant Professor. He was a Research Visitor to Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium, for two months in 2016. He was promoted to Full professor in Power Electronics in June 2022. His fields of interest include control of electrical machines, senseless control, applications of power electronics, real time control using digital signals processing, and renewable energy applications

Yang Han received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2010. In 2010, he joined the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, where he has been an Associate Professor in 2013, and Full professor in 2021. From March 2014 to March 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark. He is currently with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, UESTC. His research interests include the ac or dc microgrids, active distribution networks, power quality, grid-connected converters for renewable energy systems, active power filters, multilevel converters, and static synchronous compensators (STATCOMs). Dr. Han has received several national and provincial projects, and more than 30 industrial projects in the area of power electronics, smart grid, microgrid, and power quality analysis and compensation. He holds more than 40 issued and pending patents.Dr. Han was listed as “World’s Top 2% Scientist 2022” by Stanford University in 2022, and the recipient of the Young Scientist Award in CPESE 2021, the Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2020 and 2022, Science and Technology Award from Sichuan Electric Power Company in 2019, Academic Talent Award by UESTC, in 2017, Baekhyun Award by the Korean Institute of Power Electronics, in 2016. He has published a book “Modeling and Control of Power Electronic Converters for Microgrid Applications ISBN Springer. He served as an Associate Editor of Journal of Power Electronics and IEEE ACCESS(2019 2020).

Ghada Afifi received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the American University in Cairo (AUC), New Cairo, Egypt in 2012 and 2016 respectively. She is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering with AUC (2022). She also worked as a Process Engineering Manager for several years with Procter and Gamble, Egypt. Her current research interests include the Internet of Things issues, machine-to-machine communications, cellular communications, autonomous UAV localization and trajectory tracking solutions, machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.

Kennedy is a PostDoc Researcher in Climate Change AI focusing on Renewable Energy. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision, three masters degrees in Advanced Software Engineering (Leicester, UK), ICT Management(University of Pretoria) and in Finance and Investments(NUST). He is also currently finalising dual Masters in engineering in Telecommunications , Autonomous and Self Driving Cars with the University of Cape Town. He has years of FinTech, Automation (IBM, Camunda, Webmethods, Lotus Notes), Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Experience with banks, insurance, and oil companies in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Dr. Sajal Biring received his Master in Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, and his Ph.D. degree from both Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan. He joined semiconductor industries in Taiwan and continued working both in Taiwan and China for almost 10 years before joining the Department of Electronic Engineering, Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan as an Assistant Professor. Currently, he is working as an Associate professor and head of the research division in the “Organic Electronics Research Center, at Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan. Fatma Bouchelga was born in Ghardaia, Algeria, in 1989. Senior professor at the University of Ghardaia, a member of the research team at the laboratory of High voltage LGEB at the University of Bejaia, Algeria. She obtained her Ph.D. degree on electrical networks and High voltage from the University of Bejaia in 2016, her diploma of Master in electrical system and techniques of high voltage from the University of A. Theliji, Laghouat, Algeria in 2011, she received her license degree from the University of K. Merbeh, Ouargla, Algeria in 2009. Her main research interest is the effects of pollution and lightning on power systems and equipment, and the electrical performance of insulation materials. She has authored over 35 papers, a reviewer at international journals.

Amjad Anvari-Moghaddam is an Associate Professor and Leader of Intelligent Energy Systems and Flexible Markets (iGRIDS) Research Group at the Department of Energy (AAU Energy), Aalborg University where he is also acting as the Vice-Leader of Power Electronic Control, Reliability and System Optimization (PESYS) and the coordinator of Integrated Energy Systems Laboratory (IES-Lab). His research interests include planning, control, and operation management of microgrids, renewable/hybrid power systems, and integrated energy systems with appropriate market mechanisms. He has coauthored more than 260 technical articles, 9 books and 17 book chapters in the field. He is the Vice-Chair of IEEE Denmark Section and IEEE-PES Danish Chapter and serves as a Technical Committee Member of several IEEE PES/IES/PELS and CIGRE working groups. He was the recipient of the 2020 DUO India Fellowship Award, DANIDA Research Fellowship grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in 2018 and 2021, IEEE-CS Outstanding Leadership Award 2018 (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada), and the 2017 IEEE-CS Outstanding Service Award (Exeter-UK).

Amjad Ali Amjad received a B.S. degree (Hons.) in computer systems engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2014, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Lahore, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2017 and the PhD degree from Zhejiang University in 2021. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the school of electronic and computer engineering, Peking University. His research interests include wireless optical communications, underwater wireless optical communication, solid-state lighting and visible light communication. He has co-authored one book chapter and several papers on the above subjects in refereed journals and conference proceedings.

Farzad Mohammadzadeh Shahir received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Urmia Branch, Islamic Azad University, Urmia, Iran, in 2018. Since 2018, he has joined as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tabriz, Iran. He is the author and co-author of more than 70 journal and conference papers. His current research interests include the power system dynamic, the analysis and control of power electronic converters, and their applications. Dr. Mohammadzadeh Shahir has been a frequent reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Energy Strategy Reviews, Computer and Electrical Engineering, Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology, and IEEE-sponsored conferences. Since 2016 to 2018, he has been a central council member of the IEEE Student Branch of Urmia Branch, Islamic Azad University, Urmia, Iran. He was the recipient of the Best Researcher Award from the University of Urmia in 2018. Also, his Ph.D. thesis has been selected as the Top thesis in 2018.

Prof. Marco Rivera received an Electronic Civil Engineering degree and the M.Sc. degree in Engineering, with a specialization in Electrical Engineering, from the Universidad de Concepcion. Later he obtained a Ph.D degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, and was awarded the Premio Tesis de Doctorado Academia Chilena de Ciencias 2012 for the best Ph.D. The thesis was developed in 2011 for national and foreign students in any exact or natural sciences program, that is a member of the Academia Chilena de Ciencias, Chile. Through the last few years, he has been visiting professors at several international universities. He has directed and participated in several projects financed by the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Cientifico y Tecnologico, FONDECYT, the Chilean National Agency for Research and Development Agencia Nacional de Investigacion y Desarrollo, AND, and the Paraguayan Program for the Development of Science and Technology (Proyecto Paraguayo para el Desarrollo de la Ciencia y Tecnologia, PROCIENCIA , among others. He has been the responsible researcher of basal financed projects whose objective is to enhance, through substantial and long-term financing, Chile’s economic development through excellence and applied research. He has managed several bilateral agreements for the Universidad de Talca with international universities. He is the Director of the Laboratory of Energy Conversion and Power Electronics Laboratorio de Conversion de Energias y Electronica de Potencia, LCEEP and the Technology Center for Energy Conversion Centro Tecnologico de Conversion de Energia, CTCE). He is a full professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Talca and his main research areas are matrix converters, predictive and digital controls for high-power drives, four-leg converters, development of high-performance control platforms based on field programmable gate arrays, renewable energies, advanced control of power converters, design, assembly, and start up of power converters, among others. He has published over 450 academic publications in leading international conferences and journals.

Ehab Mahmoud Mohamed is an associate professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering in Wadi Alddwasir, at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. I am interested in the synthesis and characterization of conductive polymer nanostructures and nanocomposites-based catalysts for different applications, particularly the urea electro-oxidation system. Low-cost, efficient, and stable material is currently demanded to improve the performance of the urea electro-oxidation system. Enhancement of material performance in stability, reproducibility, and repeatability using metal nanoparticles, metal oxide nanomaterial, carbon nanomaterial, organometallic, and polymer nanomaterials are also interested on this study area.

Zine Ghemari was born in Bouhadjar, Algeria, in 1980. He received the engineer, masters, Ph.D., and accreditation from supervising research degrees in electromechanical from the University Badji Mokhtar-Annaba, Annaba, Algeria, in 2003, 2006, 2013, and 2015. His research interests are sensors, Instrumentation, maintenance and vibration measurement. He has published several papers in international conferences and international journals. He is currently serving as an editorial board member and reviewer of several international journals. He is also a TPC member of some international conferences.
