Prof. Nasiri joined the University of South Carolina (USC) in August 2021 after a 16-year career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). AT UWM, he served in various positions including Associate Dean for Research, Richard Grigg, Jr. Professor and Director of Center for Sustainable Electrical Energy Systems in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Wisconsinâ€“Milwaukee, site director for the NSF center on Grid-connected Advanced Power Electronic Systems (GRAPES), Interim Executive Director of Connected Systems Institute. Before UWM, he worked for ForHealth Technologies, Inc. and Moshanir Power Engineering Company. He has served as a primary investigator on many federal and industry-sponsored projects. His research interests are high power/voltage energy conversion, energy storage, and microgrids. Dr. Nasiri has published numerous technical journals and conference papers on related topics. He also holds seven patents and has co-authored two books.
University of Reggio Calabria
Giuseppe Failla graduated in Building Engineering at the University of Palermo, Italy, in 1997. He earned a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at the University of Palermo in 2001, under the tutoring of prof. M. Di Paola and prof. P.D. Spanos. He has an 18-year of experience in teaching Structural Mechanics, Dynamics of Structures, and Theory of Structures at the University of Reggio Calabria, Italy, where he became an Associate Professor in 2015. In 2002 he was visiting lecturer at Rice University, Houston, USA, where he was in charge of the Mechanics of Structures course for undergraduate students. His research interests are dynamics of metamaterials, nonlocal elasticity, fractional viscoelasticity, and dynamics of offshore wind turbines. Since 2018, he takes part in the European Project The Blue Growth Farm, Project ID. 774426, call H2020-BG-2017-1. At present, he has authored more than 70 publications in international scientific journals.
Dr. Bastian Georg is a Director of the Institute for Energy Transformation, promoting novel Renewable Energy and supporting scientific education. He is a professor at the faculty of technology and bionics at the Rhein-Waal University of Applied Science Trier, research topics optoelectronics, thermoelectric, nanotechnology, photovoltaics, He served as Assistant professor at the Institute for Light Technology at the University of Karlsruhe in the research group of Prof. Lamer, research topics, acoustic-optics, photonics crystals, nanotechnology from 2002-2006. He also worked as a research engineer at the central research department of the Alcatel SEL AG and after this designation, he was positioned as a designing engineer.

Adrian Ilinca is a professor and Director of the Wind Energy Research Laboratory at Universite du Quebec a Rimouski. He completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal. His areas of interest are the aerodynamics and aeroelasticity of wind turbines, icing effects on wind turbines with anti-icing and de-icing techniques, and wind-diesel hybrid systems with compressed air energy storage.

Rami Ahmad El-Nabulsi holds a Ph.D. in Particle Physics, Mathematical Physics, and Modeling from Provence University (currently Aix-Marseille University), France, and a diploma of advanced studies in Plasma Physics and Radiation Astrophysics from the same institution. He worked with different worldwide research departments in the UK, South Korea, China, Greece, Thailand, India, etc. and he is currently affiliated with Chiang Mai University, Thailand. He is the author of more than 285 peer-reviewed papers in peer-refereed reputed journals and a reviewer for more than 100 scientific journals. His research ranges from applied mathematics to theoretical physics including nonlinear dynamical systems, space and astrophysics, general relativity and geometrical physics, Lie algebroids, physics and chemistry of solids, plasma MHD, neutronics, and nuclear reactors, superconductivity, and magnetic materials among others.

Reinhard Haas is an associate professor at the "Institute of Energy Systems and Electric Drives" at Vienna University of Technology in Austria. Since 1996 he leads the Energy Economics Group, a specific research group at the School of Electrical Engineering. Prof. Reinhard Haas has studied industrial economics in mechanical engineering and holds a Ph.D. in energy economics. Prof. Reinhard Haas worked as a research fellow at the solar power plant in Almeria/Spain, at Chalmers University in Gothenborg/Schweden, and in 1994 for half a year at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Energy Analysis Group) at the University of California/Berkeley.

She holds a masters degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in energy economics at Vienna University of Technology. She is responsible for research, teaching, project acquisition, and scientific coordination in the area of energy economics with a focus on sustainable transport. Her main research interests are alternative fuels and alternative automotive technologies, energy, and transport policies as well as transition to a sustainable energy system and long term energy scenarios. She has been involved in several national and international research projects related to these topics. She has authored more than 50 papers and journal articles. Dr Zhenjun Ma is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Sustainable Buildings Research Centre, University of Wollongong, Australia. He is an Associate Editor of two Elsevier Journals of Solar Energy and Energy for Sustainable Development. His research is mainly focused on sustainable building energy technologies, building energy flexibility, thermal energy storage, and renewable energy in buildings. He has published more than 150 peer reviewed papers in prestigious journals.
Dr. Yu is a full professor at Zhejiang University and the deputy director of State Key Lab of Silicon Materials. He received his Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University in 2004. After working at IHP GmbH (Germany) and NC State University (USA) for more than four years, he joined Zhejiang Universit. Prof. Yu's work has been mainly focused on Photovoltaic materials and devices. In the semiconductor field, he has published more than 200 SCI papers in the journals like advanced Materials, Applied Physics Letters. He served as one of the executive committees at the international Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC), one member of the editorial board for the journal entitled SILICON, and reviewer for more than 20 international journals.

Ronghou Liu, Ph.D., Full Professor with Tenure, Department of Resource and Environment, School of Agriculture and Biology, Shanghai JiaoTongUniversity(SJTU), P.R. China. He is director of Biomass Energy Engineering Research Centre, School of Agriculture and Biology, SJTU. He was a former Member of the Agricultural Engineering Discipline Evaluation Group of State Department Degree Committee of China; He is vice director of the Teaching Steering Committee of Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education of China(2013-2017, 2018-2022). He won Cornell University Tang Scholarship in 2008. He was selected as 2020 Highly Cited Chinese Researcher of Elsevier in 2021. At present, he is an executive member of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, executive member of Chinese Biogas Society, etc. He is an editorial board member of four SCI and five EI journals such as Fuel Processing Technology (SCI), International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineeringï¼ˆSCI) etc.

Lipo Wang received his Ph.D. from the RWTH-Aachen, Germany in 2007. He joined the UM-SJTU Joint Institute, Shanghai Jiaotong Univ. in 2009 and currently is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering area. His research interests include fluid mechanics, fundamental turbulence (flow structure and topological analysis), turbulent combustion, and some application-orientated problems. As a co-author, he received the ASME 2016 Turbo Expo Turbomachinery Technical Conference Best Paper Award.
Dr. Lai [Ph.D., BEng(Hons) PEng, PTech, CEng (UK), MIEM, MIMechE (UK)] is currently an associate professor in Nanotechnology & Catalysis Research Centre, University of Malaya. Lai s main research interests are in the areas of chemically modified metal oxide photocatalysts and carbon graphene materials, especially apply in environmental pollution management and solar energy technology. Lai has contributed immensely to the development and enhancement in science & technology in Malaysia, particularly in developing, optimizing, and simplifying the technology lies in the synthesis of nanoparticles, metal oxide nano-architecture, and carbon/graphene materials which are of high significance for green renewable energy and environment applications. Lais works have been published in more than 200 refereed international top-tier journals with a Scopus h-index of 29, 60 book chapters, and 100 international proceedings in materials science, physics, chemistry, and renewable energy researches.

Dr. Ramani Kannan is currently working as Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Previously he was appointed as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Associate Professor at K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology. Dr. Ramani received honors including the Young Scientist Award for Power Electronics, Career Award for Young Teachers (CAYT) from AICTE, Best Teacher Award(2010-2011) at K. S Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode, and Outstanding Teacher Award for 100 percent Results produced. He is editor in chief in Journal of Asian Scientific Research, and associate editor for International Journal of Electronics and Electrical Engineering and International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and member of the editorial board in a number of journals.

Dr. Reeta Rani Singhania is currently a Research Associate Professor at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. She worked at CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Trivandrum for PhD studies, and obtained the degree in Biotechnology in 2011. During 2011-2012, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow at University Blaise Pascal, Clermont Ferrand, France and 2012-2017 at DBT IOC Centre for Advanced Bioenergy Research, Faridabad as DBT Bioscience Energy Overseas Fellow. Subsequently, she joined the Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, India, and worked as Chief Scientist during 2018-2020. Her major research interests are in Microbial & Enzyme Technology and Bioprocess Technology, with the current focus on biofuels from lignocellulosic biomass. She has 13 patents, edited three books, and published more than 120 research articles, book chapters and conference communications with more than 7000 citations and an h index of 32 (Google scholar).

Dr Chua Kian Jon is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore. He has been conducting research on renewable energy systems and heat recovery systems since 1997. He has conducted both modelling and experimental works for specific thermal energy systems. He is highly skilled in designing fabricating commissioning and testing many sustainable energy systems to provide for heating, cooling and humidity control for both small and large scale applications. He has more than 200 international peer-reviewed journal publications, 6 book chapters and two recent monographs on advances in air conditioning He was highlighted among the top 1% of scientists in the world by the Universal Scientific Education and Research Network and top 0.5% in the Stanford list of energy researchers. His works has garnered more than 10,600 over citations with a current hindex of 55. Further, he owns more than 10 patents related to several innovative cooling and dehumidification systems. On a regular basis, he has been invited to deliver many plenary and keynote talks on his research findings. He is the Principal Investigator of several multi-million competitive research grants. Additionally, he has been awarded multiple local, regional, and international awards for his breakthrough research endeavours.
Prof. Majeda Khraisheh has an excellent record of accomplishment in attracting research funding from multiple resources through her career in Qatar and previously in the UK. Currently, she serves as the Head of Dep of Chemical engineering at Qatar University (2017-present). She has been awarded at least six grants as a lead PI over the last 10 years and several UREP and industrial projects. She is renowned for delivering projects and completing them in a timely fashion and as per the required timeline. She is currently one of the top 5 best researchers in the college of engineering at Qatar University. Professor Khraisheh is known for the mentorship work for younger researchers and has been awarded the Excellence in Leadership award for females in academia for the Middle East area. In addition, her excellent performance in teaching was recognized by Qatar University and was awarded the Qatar University Outstanding Teaching award in 2012 etc...
Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from the Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received Ph.D.- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post-doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as a research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became a professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67, following academic life of 45 years. He published over 80 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia at an international and national level as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker, speaker, or Poster presenter. He served as the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last six years (2014 - 2019) over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker, and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies in different countries. Additionally, he retired at the end of November 2019, and contributed with Keynote/Plenary Speeches over 60 Virtual/Webinar Conferences, due to the coronavirus outbreak in two years of his retirement, 2020 and 2021.
