Professor Elmira Arab-Tehrany (female)is a Full Professor at Lorraine University, team leader in nanovectorisation. She obtained her Bachlor in food science and engineering (1999), her Master in biotechnology (2001) and her PhD on biotechnology and food science (2005). She obtained her promotion in academic rank to Associate Professor at Lorraine University in June 2012 and to Full Professor in September 2015. Member of the expert committee at the French Agency for food safety since 2010, expert of scientific projects for Romanian and Poland Governments since 2009. She has co-authored more than 90 scientific publications in international journals (3600 citation, hindex:30), 7 book chapters, 20 invited speakers, 55 oral presentations. Supervising of several thesis; post-doc and research masters. Reviewer of several national and international thesis. Member of several Learned societies and Reviewer of several international journals. Her scientific activity focuses on development the nanovector, encapsulation of various active molecule and physico-chemical characterization at multiscale.
Chuanbao Cao is currently the responsible Professor of Low Dimensions Materials in School of Materials Science and Engineering, Director of Research Center of Materials Science of Beijing Institute of Technology. He is the committee member of Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology, senior member of Chinese Mechanical and Engineering Society; committee member of Chinese Biomedical Manufacture Society, senior member of Chinese Institute of Electronics; committee of Chinese Integrate Circuit and Electronic Materials Society. He is in the editoral board of “Scientific Reports” and in the international journal editoral board of “Journal of Nanomaterials”, His research focuses on the energy related materials. Until now, he has applied 60 patents include 40 granted patents, has published more than 330 journal papers, they have been cited by 9200 times, H index of 50, presented more than 30 invited speaks in international conference.
Prof. Zhang has undertaken research on the new process principles, characterization and modeling of sheet and tube forming processes for over 30 years, and has significant expertise in the field of materials processing engineering and in particular the computer modeling of metal forming processes using numerical methods. He invented the integral hydroforming technology of double-layer spherical vessels in 1991 with Prof. ZR Wang at Harbin Institute of Technology and gave a systematic analysis of the process principle. He got his first invention patent for this new technology. Then he has been devoted to research on sheet hydroforming and hydro mechanical deep drawing technology from his work in Aalborg University of Denmark in 1996, and then continues the work until now. He has published over 50 papers on this topic. He proposed a movable female die method for sheet hydroforming by which the forming limit of sheet metals can be improved remarkably, and he got his 2nd patent in 2001. From 1999 he has been working at IMR/CAS, he is also devoted to tube forming technology and magnesium alloy sheet parts. He has been working as the Director of R&D Centre of Golden Dragon Copper Group (Director of Engineering Research Centre for Precision Copper Tubes) since 2001 and is working on cast and rolling processes of copper tubes, he has made achievements in cast and roll forming of Ni-Cu alloy tubes and the company has been developing a new production line. Golden Dragon Group has been No.1 in the world in copper tube production since 2006. He proposed warm sheet forming technology of magnesium alloy sheets and made a great progress for the process development. He was invited to Japan to give a Special Lecture on this topic in July 2006, and also presented conference reports in Beijing in November 2006 at the Chinese Mg Society Conference and in a Forum in Tianjin in January 2007. Now he has published over 30 papers on this topic. He began working on cross rolling of magnesium alloy sheets in 2003 and got very good results. He conducted a cooperation with Risoe National Lab on grain evolution and texture study to improve formability of Mg sheets from 2006-2007, he has got very good results. He also is working on modeling of microstructures of strip rolling in recent years. He has obtained many prizes and awards for his work, including the A.M. Strickland Prize, awarded by the Division of Manufacturing Industries of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers for the best paper published in the Proceedings of IMechE as a significant contribution to the field of manufacturing,London, UK, June 15, 2011. He is now responsible for the Advanced Metal Forming Technology Group of IMR, Vice Head of Department of Special Materials and Devices, and Director of an Engineering Research Centre of CAS. He has supervised 40 PhD students among whom 31 have obtained PhD degrees. Also 28 Master students have got their master degrees. He is now the Vice Chairman of Chinese Society for Technology of Plasticity, Secretary General of CDDRG, Chairman of NUMIFORM2013 conference. He is member of Editorial Board of 7 academic journals, part time professor to Dalian University of Technology and Shenyang Ligong University.
Prof. Allahverdiyev has interest in the field of experimental optical/nonlinear optical physics of low-dimensional chalcogenide crystals (also under high pressure) and the technology and physics of advanced nonlinear materials and small crystallites (including nano); electroluminescence in ternary chalcogenide crystals; solid state lasers and laser technoogy. He has specialization in solid state physics, optics, lasers and laser-matter interaction, lidars. He teaches and supervise students in optical electronics, laser spectroscopy, solid state physics, laser-matter interaction, non-linear optics. He has expertise in variety of nonlinear optical crystals, lasers and applications and teaching courses in different subjects. He has hands-on experience in modern spectroscopy techniques also under pressure (pump-probe experiments, Raman scattering, confocal Raman microscopy, nonlinear harmonic generation and wave mixing, photo- and electro- luminescence, exciton absorption and others), lasers and laser technologies, growth and characterization of single crystals, nanocrystals and polycrystalline materials, carrier transport and galvanomagnetic measurements, dielectric spectroscopy. His publications include more than 305 articles in Journals and Proceedings of Conferences, 3 books and 7 review articles, 5 patents.
Dr. Shengyong Xu received B. Sc. in Physics from the Peking University in 1988, and Ph.D. degree from Department of Physics, National University of Singapore in 1999. He is currently a professor with Department of Electronics, School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Sciences, Peking University. He has published more than 200 journal and conference papers. His group currently works on the physics mechanism of electrical communication among neuron cells and normal cells, brain modeling, memory mechanism of a brain, temperature sensing at the cell and sub-cell levels, etc.
Dr El-Dessouky is a Senior Research Fellow in Composites at Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, University of Sheffield, UK. Dr El-Dessouky received his BSc, MSc, PhD degrees in Physics from Mansoura University, Egypt. He has around 25 years’ experience in multidisciplinary areas of research include Fibres, Polymers, Nano-additives, Technical textiles and Composites. Since 1999, he published 55 papers in high quality international journals and conferences. He had a patent on novel spread tow prepreg for thermoplastic composite applications. He had 3 book chapters on textiles treatment, carbon fibre spread tow and 3D composites manufacturing. He is a reviewer and an editorial board member for many journals in the field. He is a member of Fibre Society, SAMPE and IOM3-British Composite Society. From 2013 to date at the University of Sheffield AMRC, Dr El-Dessouky have established the thermoplastic and dry fibre/textile processing research activities for composite preforming applications. From 2006 to 2013, he worked for University of Leeds as a research fellow on different research projects include fibre spinning, nanocomposites and textile composites. From 1996 to date, he is a professor in applied physics (on leave) at Mansoura University in Egypt.
Dr. Alexander L. Kalamkarov is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada since 1993, and Director of Smart Materials Centre since 1995. He was awarded PhD degree from the Moscow Lomonosov State University in 1979 and the Doctor of Sciences (Habilitation) from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1990. His academic career spans over 40 years in Research and University teaching. He has taught in the Universities in the USA, England, France, Australia, Japan, Brazil and visited numerous Universities and Research Institutes around the world. Prof. Kalamkarov is awarded the CANCAM Gold Medal for the “outstanding contribution in the area of Applied Mechanics” in 2011. He is awarded the Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in 2002; the Fellow of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) in 2001; and the Fellow of the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) in 2007. Prof. Kalamkarov is a Member of numerous prestigious International Editorial and Advisory boards and the International Conference Organizing Committees in the area of advanced composite materials and smart structures. Research performed by Prof. Kalamkarov in the areas of advanced composite materials and smart materials and structures is internationally recognized. He has authored more than 350 research publications, including over 150 refereed journal papers, 8 Research Monographs and 2 US patents. Prof. Kalamkarov has made major contribution to the fundamental analysis, design and optimization of composite materials and smart composite structures, composite reinforced shells and plates
Francisco Torrens is lecturer in physical chemistry at the Universitat de València. After obtaining a PhD in molecular associations in azines and macrocycles from the Universitat de València, Dr. Torrens undertook postdoctoral research with Professor Rivail at the Université de Nancy I. More recently, Dr. Torrens has collaborated on projects with Professors Tomás-Vert, Salgado and Castellano. Major research projects include prediction of the environmental impact of chemical substances using chemobioinformatics tools, discovery of new inhibitors of tyrosinase: computational design, synthesis, characterization and experimental corroboration, search for new antimicrobial agents that inhibit the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, minimal active domains of proteins of the Bcl 2 family, development and application of quantum chemistry methods and techniques to studies of drugs, analysis of pores of BAX at nanometric scale and study of the in vivo antioxidant capacity of phenolic compounds through QSAR/QSPR modelling: crossing of the blood-brain barrier and interactions with cytochromes and drugs. His scientific accomplishments include the first implementation in a computer at the Universitat de València of a program for the elucidation of crystallographic structures and the construction of the first computational-chemistry program adapted to a vector-facility supercomputer in a Spanish university.

Dr Ashok K Srivastava completed M.Sc. (Specialisation: Materials Science) degree from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India; M.Phil. from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, India; Post Graduate Diploma in Teacher Training Education (PGDTTE) from All India Institute of Management Studies Chennai; M.Tech. (Specialisation: Physical Metallurgy of Steel and Composite Materials) from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra Ranchi, India; and Ph.D. in 2009 from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, India. He has more than 15 years teaching, research and administrative experience. He worked with Prof. Koh-ichi Sugimoto, Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University, Nagano, Japan on collaborative research project “Development of advanced ultrahigh strength TRIP-aided Bainitic Ferritic Steels for Automotive Applications” from April, 2008 to March, 2009. He has also research exposure of NUS Singapore, Changwon National University, South Korea and Ajou University, South Korea. His current research interests include the physics of ferrous alloys, synthesis and characterization of materials, metal matrix composites, nanotechnology, tribology, and the physical metallurgy of steel. Dr. Roumen H. Petrov was born in Sofia (Bulgaria) in 1958. He graduated at Technical University –Sofia, Department of Metals Science & Technology in 1983 and in 1984 he joined the Department of Metals Science & Technology at TU-Sofia initially as part-time, and later from 1986 as a full-time assistant professor, where he defended his Ph.D. “Cu-based Shape Memory Alloys for High-Temperature Application" in 1998. In 2000 he started his career at Ghent University, Belgium and since 2005 he has been appointed as a guest-associate professor Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. (TU Delft). Currently, he is a full professor in Metals technology at the Department of Electromechanical Systems and Metal Engineering at Ghent University, Belgium and a part-time professor at TU-Delft. At the moment he has 37 years’ experience in the field of metals technology and metals science. His fields of interest are (i) materials characterization techniques with strong emphasis on electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), including transmission EBSD (TKD) and 3D- EBSD, XRD (phase analysis and texture), (ii) high strength steels: TRIP assisted steels, Dual-Phase steels, Q&P steels, TWIP steels, pipeline steels where he works on the microstructure control, properties, anisotropy, and damage, (iii) microstructural characterization of damage and fracture of bearings and rails and (iv) metal processing technologies: conventional heat treatment, thermo-chemical treatment, thermo-mechanical control processing and non-conventional technologies for ultrafast heating (“flash” annealing). In March 2007 he received the prestigious Sawamura Award of The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan. He is a promoter of 25 Ph.D. students (16 defended 9 in preparation) and 42 master students and author of more than 300 publications (240 appear in Web of Science), co-author of 2 textbooks and 10 chapters in books. At the moment his Hirsch index is 29. (Google scholar h-index -35, i10-index 101). Roumen Petrov was a member of international organizing committee of Thermec -2016, and member of Editorial board of “Conference Papers in Materials Science”, Hindawi Publishing Corporation, until 2016. Ricardo Branco has completed his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Coimbra. He is currently Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. His research Interests are structural integrity, mechanical behaviour of materials, fatigue and fracture of engineering materials, fatigue analysis of notched components, and additive manufacturing.
Prof. Andrey V. Brazhnikov has completed his PhD at the age of 25 from Tomsk Polytechnical Institute (Tomsk, Russia) in 1985. In 1991-1995 he was the Russian Manager of two international (Russian-Bulgarian) research projects in the field of multiphase inverter-fed AC electric drives. In 2019 he was a Visiting Professor of Munich Technical University (TUM), Munich, Germany. Now he has more than 200 published research works and inventions.
Matteo Tonezzer received his PhD degree “cum laude” from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Trento, Italy. His thesis was regarding the optimization of inorganic and organic nanostructured materials toward gas sensing. In 2011, he won the Young Scientist Award from the European Materials Research Society (EMRS). He worked in research centers in France (ESRF), Brazil (UFMG), Vietnam (HUST), Italy (INFM, CNR) , South Korea (INHA) and USA (GeorgiaTech). He is currently working for IMEM at the Italian National Research Council. He is author of more dozens of scientific papers on international journals and contributed, also with invited talks, to tens of international conferences. His main area of interest concern the sensing properties of nanostructured organic and inorganic materials and the use of machine learning towards smart sensing.
Dr. Mohammad Javad Parnian is currently a researcher at the University of Calgary. He obtained his Ph. D in Chemical Engineering at Chemical Engineering Department of IUST. He previously was a researcher at Center for Fuel Cell and Batteries, University of Delaware.
