Ouri Wolfson's main research interests are in big data, distributed systems, mobile/pervasive computing, smart city, and connectomics. He received his B.A. degree in mathematics, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. He is currently the Richard and Loan Hill Professor of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He is the founder of Mobitrac, a high-tech startup that was acquired by Fluensee Co.; and the founder and president of Pirouette Software Inc. which specializes in mobile data management. He served as a consultant to Argonne National Laboratory, US Army Research Laboratories, DARPA, and NASA. Before joining the University of Illinois he has been on the computer science faculty at the Technion and Columbia University, and a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories.

Hanghang Tong is currently an associate professor at Department of Computer Science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before that he was an associate professor at School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering (CIDSE), Arizona State University. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008 and 2009, both in Machine Learning. His research interest is in large scale data mining for graphs and multimedia. He has received several awards, including ACM distinguished member (2020), ICDM Tao Li award (2019), SDM/IBM Early Career Data Mining Research award (2018), NSF CAREER award (2017), ICDM 10-Year Highest Impact Paper award (2015), four best paper awards (TUP'14, CIKM'12, SDM'08, ICDM'06) and several 'bests of conference'. He is the Editor-in-Chief of SIGKDD Explorations (ACM), and an associate editor of ACM Computing Surveys (ACM) and Knowledge and Information Systems (Springer); and has served as a program committee member in data mining, database and artificial intelligence venues (e.g., SIGKDD, SIGMOD, AAAI, WWW, CIKM, etc.).

After four years of industrial experience mainly at Bell-Northern Research (BNR), Dr. Hussein T. Mouftah started his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen's University in 1979. In 1988 he became a full professor there and from 1998 until 2002 he was Associate Head for the Department. Since 2002 he has been a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair at the University of Ottawa, SITE and in 2006 he was appointed Distinguished University Professor. During his sabbatical leaves, he did consulting work for BNR and Nortel Networks (1986-87; 1993-94; and 2000-01). Dr. Mouftah has published over 1000 technical papers, 7 books and 48 book chapters. To his credit he has 12 patents and 140 industrial reports. He has received research grants and contracts totalling close to $40 million and he has supervised more than 300 highly qualified personnel of which 95 are Masters and 63 are PhD graduates and 30 are post-doctoral fellows. Dr. Mouftah has served the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) Communications Society as Editor-in-Chief of the Communications Magazine (1995-97), Director of Magazines (1998-99), Chair of the Awards Committee (2002-03), Director of Education (2006-07), and Member of the Board of Governors (1997-99 and 2006-07). Also, he is the founding Chair of two of IEEE Communications Society Technical Committees (TCs): Optical Networking TC (2002-04) and Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks TC (2005-07). He has been a Distinguished Speaker of the IEEE Communications Society (2000-2008).

Frank Steinicke is a professor for Human-Computer Interaction at the Department of Informatics at the University of Hamburg. From 2011 to 2014 he was a professor of Computer Science in Media at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Wurzburg and chair of the Immersive Media Group. Between 2012 and 2014 he was the director of the newly founded interdisciplinary Institute for Human Computer Media. In 2009 he assumed an associate guest professor position at the University of Minnesota. He studied Mathematics with a Minor in Computer Science at the University of Munster, from which he received his Ph.D. and Venia Legendi in Computer Science. His research is driven by understanding the human perceptual, cognitive and motor abilities and limitations in order to reform the interaction as well as the experience in computer-mediated realities. Frank Steinicke regularly serves as panelist and speaker at major events in the area of virtual reality and human-computer interaction. He serves as the program chair for IEEE VR 2017/2018, which is the most renowned scientific conference in the area of VR/AR. He is on the IPC of various national and international conferences, and currently editor of the IEEE Computer Graphics & Applications Department on Spatial Interfaces. Furthermore, he is a member of the Steering Committee of the ACM Symposium on Spatial User Interaction (SUI) and the GI SIG VR/AR. Finally, he is a member of ACM, IEEE and GI, in particular, ACM SIGCHI, IEEE Smart Cities Community, and the GI SIGs on VR/AR, Medieninformatik and (Be-)greifbare Interaktion.

Gitta Kutyniok currently has a Bavarian AI Chair for Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence at the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munchen. She received her Diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as her Ph.D. degree from the University Paderborn in Germany, and her Habilitation in Mathematics in 2006 at the Justus-Liebig University Gieben. From 2001 to 2008 she held visiting positions at several US institutions, including Princeton University, Stanford University, Yale University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Washington University in St. Louis, and was a Nachdiplomslecturer at ETH Zurich in 2014. In 2008, she became a full professor of mathematics at the University Osnabruck, and moved to Berlin three years later, where she held an Einstein Chair in the Institute of Mathematics at the Technische University Berlin and a courtesy appointment in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering until 2020. Her main research interests are in the areas of applied harmonic analysis, artificial intelligence, compressed sensing, high-dimensional data analysis, imaging science, inverse problems, machine learning, numerical mathematics, partial differential equations, and applications to life sciences and telecommunication. Gitta Kutyniok received various awards for her research such as an award from the University Paderborn in 2003, the Research Prize of Gieben and a Heisenberg-Fellowship in 2006, the von Kaven Prize by the DFG in 2007, and an Einstein Chair in 2008. She gave the Noether Lecture at the OMG-DMV Congress in 2013, the Hans Schneider ILAS Lecture at IWOTA in 2016, and will be the Lecturer of the London Mathematical Society (LMS) Invited Lecture Series in 2022. She also became a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities in 2017, a SIAM Fellow and an IEEE Senior Member in 2019, received a Francqui Chair of the Belgian Francqui Foundation in 2020, and holds the first Bavarian AI Chair at LMU from 2020 on. She was Chair of the SIAM Activity Group on Imaging Sciences from 2018-2019 and is Co-Chair of the first SIAM conference on Mathematics of Data Science taking place this year. She was Scientific Director of the graduate school BIMoS at TU Berlin from 2014 to 2020 and is currently Chair of the GAMM Activity Groups on Mathematical Signal- and Image Processing and Computational and Mathematical Methods in Data Science. She is also the main coordinator of the Priority Programm of the German Research Foundation on theoretical foundations of deep learning.

Tommaso Dorigo is an experimental particle physics who works as a First Researcher for the INFN and the University of Padova, Italy, where he teaches an introductory course in Particle Physics for the Master in Statistical Sciences, and a course of Statistics for Data Analysis at the Ph.D. course in Physics. He specializes in data analysis, statistical methods, and machine learning applications. Dorigo is a member of the CMS collaboration at the CERN LHC collider since 2001, and has formerly been a member of the CDF experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron collider from 1996 to 2012. He contributed to the discovery of the Higgs boson and a number of other important physics results, including the top quark observation. He is an author of over 1600 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and has an h-index of 208 according to Google Scholar. Dorigo is the scientific coordinator of the MODE collaboration, a group of physicists and computer scientists who study the use of differentiable programming for optimal design of experimental apparatuses. He is also the editor of the "Physics Open" and "Reviews in Physics" journals by Elsevier. Dorigo also holds a very visited blog where he does science outreach since 2005, and where he has published over 1200 articles which received over 14 million page views.

Yonina Eldar is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel, where the heads the center for biomedical engineering. She was previously a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Technion, where she held the Edwards Chair in Engineering. She is also a Visiting Professor at MIT, a Visiting Scientist at the Broad Institute, and an Adjunct Professor at Duke University and was a Visiting Professor at Stanford. She received the B.Sc. degree in physics and the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering both from Tel-Aviv University (TAU), Tel-Aviv, Israel, in 1995 and 1996, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, in 2002. She is a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, an IEEE Fellow and a EURASIP Fellow. She has received many awards for excellence in research and teaching, including the IEEE Signal Processing Society Technical Achievement Award (2013), the IEEE/AESS Fred Nathanson Memorial Radar Award (2014) and the IEEE Kiyo Tomiyasu Award (2016). She was a Horev Fellow of the Leaders in Science and Technology program at the Technion and an Alon Fellow. She received the Michael Bruno Memorial Award from the Rothschild Foundation, the Weizmann Prize for Exact Sciences, the Wolf Foundation Krill Prize for Excellence in Scientific Research, the Henry Taub Prize for Excellence in Research (twice), the Hershel Rich Innovation Award (three times), the Award for Women with Distinguished Contributions, the Andre and Bella Meyer Lectureship, the Career Development Chair at the Technion, the Muriel & David Jacknow Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the Technions Award for Excellence in Teaching (two times). She received several best paper awards and best demo awards together with her research students and colleagues, was selected as one of the 50 most influential women in Israel, and was a member of the Israel Committee for Higher Education. Roland Siegwart (1959) is a full Professor of Autonomous Systems at ETH Zurich since July 2006 and Founding Co-Director of the Wyss Zurich. From January 2010 to December 2014, he took office as Vice President of Research and Corporate Relations in the ETH Executive Board. He is a member of the board of directors of various companies, including Komax and NZZ. He received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1983 and his Doctoral Degree in 1989 from ETH Zurich. He brought up a spin-off company, spent ten years as a professor at EPFL Lausanne (1996 – 2006), and held visiting positions at Stanford University and NASA Ames. He is and was the coordinator of multiple European projects and co-founder of half a dozen spin-off companies. He is an IEEE Fellow, recipient of the IEEE RAS Inaba Technical Award, and officer of the International Federation of Robotics Research (IFRR). He is on the editorial board of multiple journals in robotics and was a general chair of several conferences in robotics including IROS 2002, AIM 2007, FSR 2007 and ISRR 2009.  Roland Siegwart's research interests are in the design and control of robot systems operating in complex and highly dynamical environments. His major goal is to find new ways to deal with uncertainties and enable the design of highly interactive and adaptive autonomous robots. Prominent application examples are personal and service robots, autonomous micro-​aircraft, walking, and swimming robots, and driver assistant systems. Furthermore, he is a strong promotor of innovation and entrepreneurship in Switzerland

Prof. Yuhui Shi is a Chair Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He is an IEEE Fellow, the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Swarm Intelligence Research, and an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation. Prof. Shi is a pioneer of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithms. The PSO with inertia weight co-proposed by Prof. Russ Eberhart and him is one of the most representative PSO algorithms, which has been cited more than 13000 times according to Google Scholar. Prof. Shi is an expert in computational intelligence and designed and proposed the Brain Storm Optimization (BSO) algorithm, which has been widely used in various fields.

Fabiana Di Porto graduated in Law (cum laude) from Luiss University, got a joint PhD in Competition Law (co-tutelle) from the Universities Robert Schumann (Strasburg) and Perugia (Très honorable avec félicitations), and an MSc in Regulation from the London School of Economics. She has been post-doc and research assistant at the University of Siena (2005-2011) with a tenure in Economic law. Since 2011 she is Associate professor of Law and tech at the University of Salento, having received a state habilitation as full professor since 2017. She has been visiting professor at the EUI (2010) and Forchheimer Visiting Professor at the Law Faculty of the Hebrew University (2019-20). In the same year she was also research associate at the Federman Cyber Security Research Center of the same Hebrew University. Her research focuses on the intersection between public law and technology from an interdisciplinary perspective. Especially, I am interested in how AI, algorithms and big data are disrupting classical legal concepts in the domain of governance, legislation and regulation. That applies to several fields, among which (in the last months): Regulation and governance of digital technologies (including financial services) Algorithmic (computational) analysis of law and regulation Information Disclosure and technology Legislative innovation through technology. Lately (2019-23), she leads the Algorithmic Disclosure Regulation PRIN project, a state-funded multi-disciplinary research team composed of data scientists and legal scholars. They apply computational methods to the analysis of legal matters. As a result, they published in Stanford Computational Antitrust (2021) [open access]; Artificial Intelligence and Law (2021) [open access]; and Concurrences (2021); the Journal of Regulation and Technology (forthcoming).

Jan Treur has been a full professsor of AI since 1990 and is a well-recognized expert on the area of multidisciplinary human-like AI-modeling. He has published over 700 well-cited papers about cognitive, affective, and social modeling and AI systems making use of such models. He has also supervised more than 40 Ph.D. students in these areas and from 2016 on written and edited three books on (adaptive) network-oriented AI-modeling and its application in various other disciplines. Current research addresses modeling of higher-order adaptive processes by self-modeling network models with a specific focus on mental processes based on internal mental models and their use by internal simulation, their learning or formation (including organisational learning), and the control over them. The application focus is on the development and use of shared mental models supporting the road toward a just safety culture in organisations such as hospitals.

Gulay Canbaloglu combines her studies in Computer Engineering, Sociology and AI at the prestigious private Koc University in Istanbul with her work as researcher and Ph.D. candidate for the Safety and Security Science group at Delft University of Technology under supervision of prof.dr. Jan Treur and dr. Peter Roelofsma. Her research focus is on computational modelling of organisational learning with special application to learning of just safety culture in health care organisations. Part of her research is conducted in collaboration with dr. Anna Wiewiora from the School of Management of Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. In her recent work she reached an important achievement by successfully using self-modeling networks to obtain suitable computational models of complex organisational learning processes.

Rui Fan received the B.Eng. degree in automation (control science &engineering) from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2015 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Bristol, U.K., in 2018. From 2018 to 2020, Rui was a Research Associate (Postdoc) with the Robotics Institute and the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong. Between 2020 and 2021, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Ophthalmology and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of California San Diego, USA. He is currently a (full) Research Professor with the Department of Control Science and Engineering, College of Electronics and Information Engineering, and Shanghai Research Institute for Intelligent Autonomous Systems, Tongji University, Shanghai, China. His research interests include computer vision, machine/deep learning, image/signal processing, autonomous driving, and bioinformatics.

Ivan Ganchev, Professor. Prof. Ivan Ganchev is an IEEE Senior Member, a URSI Senior Member, an ITU-T Invited Expert, and an IET Invited Lecturer. He was involved in 40+ international and national research projects. Prof. Ganchev has served on the Technical Program Committee of 350+ prestigious international conferences, symposia, and workshops. He has (co)authored 1 monographic book, 3 textbooks, 4 edited books, and 300+ research papers in refereed international journals, books, and conference proceedings. Prof. Ganchev is an Area Editor of the Elsevier “Computer Networks” journal, an Editorial Board Member of the Hindawi “Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing” journal, the MDPI “Electronics” journal, the MDPI “Mathematics” journal, and the Wiley “Internet Technology Letters” journal, and a Regional Editor (Europe) of the International Journal on Trust Management in Computing and Communications. Lloyd F. Colegrove retired after a 29-year career at Dow, as the Director of Data Services and the Director of Fundamental Problem Solving within Manufacturing and Engineering. He was also the Analytics Platform Director for Dow's Manufacturing and Engineering's Industry 4.0 program. Lloyd's background is in Chemical Physics where he obtained a B.S. and Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. He spent 7 years in Polymer Research in Dow (R&D and TS&D) before moving into Manufacturing in an analytical measurement improvement role for plant quality assurance activities and then as a global quality leader for five Dow businesses. He then moved on to establish a new capability called Fundamental Problem Solving, where top chemists and engineers work on complex, often multi-effect, plant problems. With this established, he refocused his efforts working to establish the Data Services group that has developed and deployed novel analytics applications to improve data-based decision making in chemical operations. These efforts have been recognized with many industry awards. Lloyd consults on real-time analytics, artificial intelligence in the chemical industry, and process improvement strategies He is married with two daughters and is an avid cyclist, wilderness backpacker, and landscaper.

Dr. Nina Mahmoudian is an associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. Previously, she was the Lou and Herbert Wacker Associate Professor in Autonomous Mobile Systems with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Tech. Her research interests include robotics, energy autonomy, system design, dynamics, and controls. She received her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech. Dr. Mahmoudian is a recipient of the 2015 NSF-CAREER and 2015 ONR-YIP awards. She serves as the editor of the International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) and associate editor of IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters.

Ashis G. Banerjee is an Associate Professor of Industrial & Systems Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington (UW). Prior to joining the UW faculty, he was a Research Scientist in the Complex Systems Engineering Laboratory at General Electric Global Research (GEGR). Before joining GEGR, he was a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and B.Tech. in Manufacturing Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Dr. Banerjee has published more than fifty articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has received several honors including the 2021 IAOTP Top Engineer of the Decade Award, 2019 Amazon Research Award, 2012 Most Cited Paper Award from the Computer-Aided Design journal, 2009 Best Dissertation Award from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and 2009 George Harhalakis Outstanding Systems Engineering Graduate Student Award from the Institute for Systems Research at the University of Maryland. His research interests include digital manufacturing, predictive and prescriptive data analytics, and autonomous multi-robot systems.

W.F. Lawless was a mechanical engineer in charge of nuclear waste management in 1983 when he blew the whistle on the Department of Energys (DOE) mismanagement of its military radioactive wastes. For his PhD topic on group dynamics, he theorized about the causes of tragic mistakes made by large organizations with world-class scientists and engineers. After his PhD in 1992, DOE invited him to join its citizens advisory board (CAB) at DOE’s Savannah River Site (SRS), Aiken, SC. As a founding member, he coauthored numerous recommendations on environmental remediation from radioactive wastes (e.g., the regulated closure in 1997 of the first two high-level radioactive waste tanks in the USA). He was the SRS CAB co-technical advisor on incineration, 2000-03, and technical advisor in 2009. He was a member of the European Trustnet hazardous decisions group. He is a member of INCOSE, IEEE, AAAI and AAAS. His research today is on autonomous human-machine teams (AHMT). He is the lead editor of seven published books on artificial intelligence (Springer 2016; 2017; CRC 2018; Elsevier 2019; 2020 [Elsevier nominated the latter to ASIS&T for its Information Science book of the year award for 2020]; Systems Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Springer, 2021; Engineering artificially intelligent systems; Springer LNCS, 2021). He was the lead organizer of a 6-article special issue on “human-machine teams and explainable AI” by AI Magazine (2019). He was a co-editor for the Naval Research & Development Enterprise (NRDE) Applied Artificial Intelligence Summit (2018), San Diego. Carolyn J. Swinney received a B.Eng.(hons.) degree (first class) in 2007 and a M.Sc.(dist.) in Electronics Engineering from the University of Essex, Colchester, UK in 2013. She graduated as a Communications and Electronics Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force in 2014. She currently works within the Air and Space Warfare Centre and is working towards a Ph.D. degree in Electronic Systems Engineering at the University of Essex, Colchester, UK. Her main research interests are signal processing, autonomous vehicles, machine learning and deep learning.

Prof. Rémi Cozot is a full professor at the University of Littoral Opal Cost located in Calais, France. Before that, I completed a PhD from the University of Rennes in 1996. I got an associate professor position at the University of Rennes in 1997, until 2019. My research focussed on image appearance modeling, visual perception, image aesthetic, and especially style/aesthetic aware HDR image processing. I was involved in many french national projects and European projects in the field of HDR image processing and visual perception. I am a member of the program committee of a number of conferences that cover my research topics and associated editor of the visual computer journal.

Prof.Dr.Ing. Sandro Wartzack is full professor at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. After completing his studies in production engineering in 1994, he carried out research as a research assistant in virtual product development and was awarded a doctorate in 2000 with summa cum laude. In the subsequent industrial activity in the automotive industry, he held various management positions, most recently as head of simulation and knowledge management. In September he returned to the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg to the Chair of Engineering Design, which he has been heading ever since. His research focuses on the large field of Digital Product Development with emphasis on artificial intelligence in product development, design assistance systems, tolerance simulation and analysis with digital human models. Prof. Wartzack is a member of the board of directors of the Scientific Society for Product Development (WiGeP), a member of the German Academy of Engineering Sciences (ACATECH), and a member of the board of the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the fields of design, machine elements and product development. Furthermore, Prof. Wartzack is scientific editor of the trade journal Konstruktion, guest editor of the Design Science Journal and on the scientific committee of numerous scientific conferences.

D.Spridon obtained her Bachelor Degree in 2007, the M.Sc in 2009 and the PhD in 2012, all in Physics. In 2016 received the Bachelor degree in Computer Science, and she is currently working as Assist. Dr. at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Transilvania University of Brasov and to obtain the PhD degree in Computer Science. She is a member of the Mathematical Modeling and Software Products Research Centre from the Research Development Institute, Brasov and of the research group "Optimization Algorithms". Her current interests are GPU programing, parallel computing and computational physics, machine learning.

A.M. Deaconu obtained his PhD in computer science in 2008 from Theoretical Computer Science Department, Transilvania University, Brasov, Romania. He is currently an associated professor with Mathematics and Computer Science Department, Transilvania University, Brasov, Romania. He is a member of the Romanian Mathematical Society, and a member of the Mathematical Modeling and Software Products Research Centre from the Research Development Institute, Brasov. He is the coordinator of the research group "Optimization Algorithms". His research interests include algorithms, heuristics, optimization, graphs, inverse combinatorial optimization. He is the author of 4 books, and more than 35 research articles.

MOSTAFA ALABDULLAH received the B.Sc. degree in computer science from the University of Mosul, Iraq, in 2003, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in information and communication technology from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia, in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He is currently the Head of the Center of Intelligent and Autonomous Systems (CIAS) at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). He has produced more than 200 articles in journals, book chapters, conferences, and tutorials. He has completed 14 industrial projects and 23 research projects. His specialization and research interests include the areas of autonomous agents, adjustable autonomy, human-computer collaboration, machine learning, optimization, and software quality assurance.

YAYA SUDARYA TRIANA received Degree in Statistics from University of Padjadjaran, Bandung Indonesia, Master of Information Technology from University of Indonesia, Jakarta Indonesia and Ph.D. in Statistics from Universiti Malaysia Trengganu, Kuala Terengganu Malaysia. Experienced as a software engineer at an IT Company at Tokyo, Bandung & Jakarta. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Department of Information System, Universitas Mercu Buana Indonesia. His research interests include Fuzzy, Data Science, Artificial Intelligent, Business Intelligent, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information System, and Machine Learning.

Dr. Feras M. Awaysheh is an Assistant Professor in Big Data Systems at the Data Systems Group. He received his Ph.D. in Big Data and Cloud Computing from CiTIUS research center, the University of Santiago de Compostela (honors with distinction), Spain, in 2020. He holds an MSc. degree (with Distinction.) in Computer Networks and Information Security from the New York Institute of Technology (NYiT) 2011 and a BSc. in Software Engineering from Al Balqa' Applied University, Jordan 2008. Dr. Awaysheh worked as a visiting research fellow in both Charles Darwin University, Australia, and the EPCC research center at Edinburgh University, the UK, in 2019 and 2020, respectively. His research interest covers mainly Big Data (BD) deployment architectures and their applications. Dr. Awaysheh's interests include BD Engineer, i.e., modeling, designing, and optimizing platforms for BD frameworks across multiple deployment architectures and environments using containerization technology. His recent research interests focus on related technologies and include High-Performance Data Analytics, Data Streaming, IoT, and Edge/Fog deployment architectures. Besides, the development of privacy-preserving and security frameworks for cloud-enabled solutions and Edge Intelligence systems, including Federated Learning.

Dr Markoulidakis has completed his PhD in the field of mobile telecoms from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He has held various managerial positions in the industry (head of R&D, head of Customer Experience, CTO, Digital Transformation Officer). He has multiple publications and patents in areas like telecommunications, positioning techniques and customer experience analytics. He is the founder of Hyper-Projections, a startup company focusing on innovative industrial applications of data analytics.

Medical doctor graduated from the University of Montemorelos, Mexico in 2006 and completed a nuclear medicine specialist program in 2016 at the La Fe University Hospital in Valencia, Spain. Currently I work as a nuclear medicine specialist physician at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital at Gothenburg, Sweden. Since them I have been actively engaged in PET/CT clinical analysis and at the same time occupied positions as faculty member at two different research groups, RECOMIA (The Research Consortium for Medical Image Analysis) and NIMSA (The Nuclear Imaging Group at the Sahlgrenska Academy). In the last 4 years I have authored and co-authored various scientific papers with these groups. In the recent years our research groups have published several articles with results obtained in the field of PET/CT analysis focused in lung cancer and prostate cancer. The AI-based tools developed are now in use in several hospitals in Europe, the USA and in South America. Our aim for the future is to have a fully functional automatic tool to analyze the increasing number of PET/CT studies in the two most frequent tumors worldwide (lung and prostate cancer).

Songyi Lee received B.S. degree in agricultural economics (minor: computer science) from CNU(Chungnam National University), Daejeon, Korea in 2017. She is currently a graduate student in dept. of computer science and engineering, Dongguk University, Seoul, Korea. She has worked in the industry for two years before joining graduate school. Her interests are machine learning, deep reinforcement learning, and data science. Bongkyo Moon received a Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications from Kings College London, London, the UK in 2004. Bongkyo Moon received Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications from Kings College London, London, UK in 2004. He has beena professor in dept. of computer science and engineering, Dongguk University, Seoul, Korea since 2005. He has worked as a researcher in ETRI and Samsung Electronics, Korea for several years. His interests are IoT, network security, deep learning, and quantum computing.

Ridha Mezzis main research interest is artificial intelligence in healthcare and psychiatry. He received his engineering degree in telecommunications from the military academy of Tunisia. Currently, he is a telecommunications engineer and a firefighter in the national office of civil protection of Tunisia. Also, he is a master's student in Iot and Data science in the polytechnic school of Tunisia and a researcher in the SERCOM Laboratory, University of Carthage.

Loai is a researcher and algorithm developer in the fields of, artificial and business intelligence, computer vision, and big data. He is a faculty member at the department of Information Systems in The Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, Israel. Loai leads several projects from the industry in several domains such as Healthcare, retail and others..

Prof. Hongjian Shi received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Louisville respectively and PhD in Mathematics from Simon Fraser University. He is a senior IEEE member and full professor in Computer Science and Technology of Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College. His research interests cover medical imaging, image and video processing, computer vision, pattern recognition. On these fields, he has published more than 60 journal and conference papers and patents. He had worked at medical device industry in Canada and United States for more than 15 years and developed several innovative and popular medical imaging products in world market. He also had worked in universities more than 10 years in teaching and research.

Sheau-Ling Hsiehis with National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Hsinchu, Taiwan as a Visiting Associate Professor in Disaster Prevention and Water Environment Research Center (DPWE). She and DPWE members have been focusing on design, develop real-time ecosystem platforms to predict, prevent and mitigate pluvial flooding, watershed and river basincatchment inundation/flash floodcontrolunder clusters of cloudlets, Big Data, deep learning classifications, as well as decision supports technologies. The related projects are led by Program Manager, Dr. Sheng-Hsueh Yang (shyang1977@gmail.com).In addition, members of the Center have been actively engaging in either internationalcollaborating technology exchanges or seamlessly cooperating with local government organizations and private sectors. For example, the Center has joint research activities with Deltares (Delft University of Technology), Netherlands, in the areas of geotechnical, water, and environmental related hazards on climate change impacts. She was a tenure track Associate Professor and has taught courses in EECS International Graduate Program and College of Engineering at National Chiao Tung University (NCTU, previous NYCU). She has been the Legal Main Contact for Cisco Academy Program in Taiwan and the Director of Office of International Affairs for years at NCTU. Beginning 2017 to present, she teaches (as an Adjunct Faculty) graduate courses in Department of Electronic Engineering, Ming Chi University of Technology, Taipei (MCUT), to assist students equipped well technically before entering industry or advanced study. Moreover, she offers online AI+IoT workshops to universities in Indonesia, Thailand, and Philippine in the areas of Service Oriented Architecture, Networking & 5G, sensors &IoT and communication mechanism & protocols as well as applying these techniques to provide use cases of real-time urban inundation frameworks with members in DPWE and MCUT. She received 3 M.S. degreesin the fields of Renewable Nature Resources &Watershed Management and Electrical Engineering respectively as well as a Ph.D. from Department of Electrical &Computer Engineering, University of Arizona, Tucson USA. Prior to entering academia, she worked for Intel (System Engineer), Unisys (Senior Engineer), Bull (Principal Engineer), MITRE (Member of Technical Staff, rank 4), Philips (Senior Member of Technical Staff)and Start-ups (in charge of R&D) in USA&Japan.
