Shadi Nazarian, Associate Professor at the Stuckeman School of Architecture at Pennsylvania State University,holds a Post-Professional degree in architecture from Cornell University, a Professional Bachelor of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from University of Minnesota. She and her multidisciplinary research teams have achievedinnovative material interfaces, seamless and sequential transition from geopolymer mortar to transparent glass –– presenting novel solutions for building in harsh conditions where impermeability between and through surface materials is required;have advanced the state of the art in additive construction technology for terrestrial and planetary applications, and earned awards in NASA’s 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge.
Prof. Prasad Yarlagadda worked in industry and university over 35 years in number of countries. He is currently Professor in Smart Systems and Project Director: Airports of the Future Research in Queensland University of Technology, Australia. During past three decades Prof. Yarlagadda his wealth of knowledge in the broad fields of Bio-manufacturing, 3-D Printing and Additive Manufacgturing to address various Orthoapedic and cardio-vascular medical devices problems. He has active collaborations with various medical institutes namely; Princes Alexandria Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane,Australia, Singapore Government Hospital, Singapore and Christian Medical College Hospital, Vellore, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences, Coimbatore and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He had active collaboration with number of surgeons and in both orthopedic and cardio-vascular fields. His recent works on fracture fixation and production of actericidal surfaces on orthopedic implants to minimize post-surgical infection received international attention and greatly enhanced quality of life in aged population. He had number of distinguished appointments in various universities in India, China and Australia. He received more than $15M funding for his research for various national and international collaborators and he published more than 500 papers with number of key note speeches delivered across the world. In 2012 he received a Prestigious Great Honour Award for his outstanding and life time contribution to the discipline of manufacturing in world Arena from Materials Division of Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2016 Professor Yarlagadda was awarded Order of Australia Medal and included in Queens Birthday Honours list in recognition of his outstanding service to Engineering Profession and Indian Community in Queensland, Australia. Soshu Kirihara is a doctor of engineering and a professor of Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University, Japan. In his main investigation “Materials Tectonics” for environmental improvements of “Geotechnology”, multi-dimensional structures were successfully fabricated to modulate energy and materials flows effectively. Ceramic and metal components were fabricated directly by smart additive manufacturing, design and evaluation (Smart MADE) using high power ultraviolet laser lithography. Original stereolithography systems were developed, and new start-up company “SK-Fine” was established through academic-industrial collaboration.
Dr. Sarker, the President, CEO and CTO of Waste Technologies, LLC (WTL) since 2013, is the sole owner of the company. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Manchester, UK. He also has a Masters and a Bachelors degree, both in Chemistry, from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Dr. Sarker has been the Vice President of Research & Development for NSR since 2005 where he invented the technology which makes up US Patent # 8,927,797 B2 “Method for converting waste plastics to lower – molecular weight hydrocarbons, particularly hydrocarbon fuel materials and the hydrocarbon material produced thereby.” An additional 5 patents are pending. This work has garnered numerous awards both nationally and internationally. In addition to having published more than 110 research articles he acts as Editor-in Chief for 15 renowned international journals; World Research Journal of Physical Chemistry, International Journal of Chemical Research, and the World Research Journal of Environment and Waste Management and Editor of 155 and 175 of peer reviewer of national and international journals. Prof. Dr. Ilaria Cacciotti is Professor of Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering and Materials Science & Technology at University of Rome "Niccolò Cusano", with consolidated expertise in the synthesis and characterization of (bio)materials and eco-sustainable systems. She is Member of the Research and Projects Committee and of the PhD School Board. She graduated in Medical Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Master of Science Award ‘Fondazione Raeli’). Afterwards, she completed the Ph.D in Materials Engineering (Ph.D Thesis Award ‘Marco Ramoni 2011, Ph.D Thesis AIMAT Award 2012) and she obtained the II Level Master degrees in “Forensic Genetics” and in "Protection against CBRNe events". Francesco Zirilli born in Genova (Italy) in 1949 graduated from Sapienza Università di Roma in 1971 in Mathematics and in 1972 in Physics. He is currently a retired professor of Sapienza Università di Roma. He has a wide experience in research, teaching and consulting in mathematics applied to modeling scientific and engineering problems. His research interests include direct and inverse scattering problems in acoustics, electromagnetics, numerical optimization, optimal control, finance. He is the author or coauthor of about 150 papers in referred journals and books. He serves in the board of several scientific journals and has been principal investigator on grants of national and international agencies.
Nickolas S. Sapidis is Professor of “Computational Design and Analysis of Machine Elements” with the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Western Macedonia (Kozani, Greece), where he directs the “Division of Constructions and Materials”. He has been a Professor with the University of the Aegean, and he has also taught at the Hellenic Air Force Academy and the National Technical University of Athens. N. Sapidis holds a Diploma (1985) in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, an M.A. (1987) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Utah, USA, and an M.S. (1988) & Ph.D. (1993) in Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences from the University of Rochester, USA. N. Sapidis has been pursuing/supervising research on “Mechanical Design”, “Computer-Aided Design (CAD)”, “Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE)”, “Geometric Modeling”, “Virtual Engineering”, and “Computer Graphics”. He is the author of more than 70 papers on the above subjects. His industrial professional experience on CAD/CAE includes the General Motors R&D Center, and the Marine Technology Development Co (Greece). Published research results of N. Sapidis have been independently implemented in industrial CAD systems by R&D teams at M.I.T., Intergraph Corp., General Motors Design Centre and Tribon (AVEVA). N. Sapidis is a member of the Editorial board of more than ten international scientific journals, including Computer-Aided Design (Elsevier), Computer-Aided Design and Applications (Taylor & Francis), and 3D Research (Springer). N. Sapidis has served on the Program Committee of more than 80 international conferences, and was an “invited Keynote Speaker” for 7 international conferences.
Pr. Luc Avérous is a Group (BioTeam) Leader, Head of Polymer Research Department at ICPEES (UMR CNRS 7515) - University of Strasbourg (France), Head of Joint Research Lab (Mutaxio) and former Lab Director. He started as a Polymer Engineer (EAHP-Strasbourg). He spent several years working (i) in the pharmaceutical industry as R&D Eng. (Synthelabo Group) and (ii) at Univ. of Montpellier as a junior researcher on polymer chemistry. In 1995, he obtained his Ph.D. in Polymer Sci. & Eng. from Ecole des Mines de Paris (Mines ParisTech). After 2 post-doctoral positions (Ecole Polytech. de Montreal-Canada,), he became A/Prof. at the Packaging Eng. School (Reims) in 1997. Finally, in 2003 he became a Full Professor at ECPM (Strasbourg), where he teaches biopolymers & biomaterials science, polymers processing, During the last decades, his major research projects have dealt with biobased and/or biodegradable polymers for environmental & biomedical applications. As a leading international expert in these fields, he has developed strong collaborations with several foreign labs (Australia, Brazil, Spain,) and major companies (Soprema, Tereos, PSA,). He serves as a member of research advisory boards for different companies. He is regularly invited to co-organize conferences, to chair symposia, and to give plenary or keynote lectures. He has co-edited 4 books (2 Wiley, Elsevier & Springer). He is a member of several Editorial Boards. He is a referee for many journals, books, international projects, and institutions. He has published hundreds of scientific communications with more than 10,000 citations (Scopus).

Dr. Omid Akbarzadeh is working with Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Centre since 2016. His main research area is heterogeneous catalysis and catalytic reaction engineering. He has spent 10 years in academic-industrial projects as a research officer and post-doctoral. Dr. Omid has worked 5 years in the oil and gas industry as a chemical engineer. He developed advance smart catalysts especially for oil and gas industries. Dr. Omid has contributed to two PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd industrial catalyst projects and worked on international Airbus R&D project in NANOCAT. Currently, he is the PI of graphene catalyst project in Hokkaido University in Japan, project member of FRGS grant in UTP and assigned to the NANOCAT center project. Dr. Omid was the Chairman, keynote speaker and organizing committee of many international conferences. He is currently supervisor of three Ph.D. students from different countries. He has published many ISI papers; book chapters and has two approved and granted patents. Also, he has hands-on experience and passed several pieces of training on handling different types of equipment which are being widely used for material synthesis, characterization and performance evaluation. He is in close collaboration with other departments, government agencies and universities around the world. He is visiting researcher of Jiangsu University China and Hokkaido University Japan. He is member of the society of petroleum engineers (SPE) and Senior Member of Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society. Omid awarded full fellowship from UTP during Ph.D and were involved for lab demonstrator and teaching in the different courses of chemical engineering. He awarded Silver Medal in 27th International Invention & Innovation Exhibition (ITEX 2016), Kuala Lumpur Convention Center in Malaysia and Silver Medal of Post Graduate Research Project in 35th Science & Engineering Design Exhibition (SEDEX 35).
Daniele De Wrachien is currently Retired Professor of Agricultural Hydraulics at the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of the State University of Milan and Member of the Board of Director of the Wessex Institute of Technology (WIT), Southampton, UK. He graduated from the State University of Milan as geologist and obtained his PhD in Advanced Engineering Geology. He performed his duties as, Director of the Institute of Agricultural Hydraulics (2000-2006), Director of Computer Centre of the Faculty of Agriculture,(1992-95), Tutor of MPhil and PhD students of the Faculty of Agriculture, External Examiner to MPhil and PhD students, Visiting Professor at the Wessex Institute of Technology (WIT). Dr. Md. Mamun Habib is a Professor at School of Business, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). In addition, Dr. Habib is the Visiting Scientist of University of Texas – Arlington, USA. Prior to that, he was Associate Professor at BRAC Business School, BRAC University Bangladesh, Asia Graduate School of Business (AGSB) at UNITAR International University, Malaysia; Dept. of Operations Research/Decision Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia and Dept. of Operations Management, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). He accomplished his Ph.D. and M.S. without standing performance in Computer & Engineering Management (CEM) under the Graduate School of Business (GSB) from Assumption University, Thailand. Dr Mohammad Arif Kamal is an architect, having around 14 years of Teaching, Research and Professional experience in the field of Architecture, Building Technology and Interior Design. He studied architecture at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh from where he received his B. Arch. degree. He received his M. Arch. and Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee where he was awarded a Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) fellowship. He has conducted various architecture and interior design projects besides his teaching duties both on Design Theory, Construction Systems, Interior Design as well as Architectural Design Studios. Presently he is working as an Associate Professor in Aligarh Muslim University, India. His area of research includes Environmental Design, Climate Responsive Architecture, Sustainable Architecture, Interior Design etc. He has published many Research papers in various international Journals and Conferences and 10 book chapters. He has edited 5 Special Topic Volume Related to Sustainable Building Materials, published by Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
