Dr. Eugene D. Janzen received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) in 1972 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Dr. Janzen spent three years practicing in northeastern Alberta before returning to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine on an Alberta-sponsored fellowship to complete a post-graduate degree with Dr O.M. Radostits. Dr. Janzen received an M.V.S. degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1977 working with Professors Doug Blood and Roger Morris. In 1977, he accepted a position with the Ambulatory Clinic at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In this position, Dr. Janzen spent his time working with a general interest in beef cattle medicine. Dr. Janzen became associated with Feedlot Health Management Services in 2002. In 2005, Dr. Janzen began working with Canada's newest veterinary medicine program with the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM), that accepted its first class of students in September 2008. Dr. Janzen recently transitioned from the 10-year position of UCVM's Associate Dean of Clinical Practice, Community Partnerships and now continues at the UCVM as a Professor Emeritus in the Production Animal Health. Department. His main areas of research or interest are mitigation of painful cattle procedures, validation of the digital necropsy diagnostics, management of lameness in feedlot cattle, and investigation of referred disease problems in the western Canadian community.

Dr. David Morton is Professor Emeritus of Biomedical Science and Ethics at the University of Birmingham, UK. He is a veterinary surgeon whose research interests concern the recognition, assessment and alleviation of pain and distress in animals. He was (retired July 2012) a member of the EU's (EFSA (FDA equivalent)) scientific panel on animal health and animal welfare. The panel conducts risk assessment analyses for the European Commission as part of the EU's risk management process for legislation. He was also a government adviser for the UK's legislation controlling the use of animals in research (Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. He has sat on working groups at the Nuffield Institute in the UK, and at the Hastings Centre and the Kennedy Institute in the USA, reporting on animal experimentation. He was the prime author of the OECD's Guidance Document on the Recognition, Assessment, and Use of Clinical Signs as Humane Endpoints for Experimental Animals Used in Safety Evaluation. He sat on several human and animal research ethics committees and runs workshops for ethics committees on animal research and project evaluation. He chaired the UK's Joint Working Group on Refinement, and is a scientific and ethics reviewer for EU funding applications and various peer reviewed international journals, and is the author of over 200 scientific papers. He received the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) on Animal Welfare.

Dr. Clive Phillips, is an Associate at the Curtin University Sustainable Policy Institute, whose research interests include the welfare of farmed, companion and captive wild animals. He was formerly Director of the Centre for Animal Welfare and Ethics in the School of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland, and has been a member of the Voiceless Scientific Expert Advisory Council since 2009. Clive has a PhD in dairy cattle nutrition and behaviour from the University of Glasgow. He has held teaching positions at the University of Wales, Bangor and the University of Cambridge's veterinary science department, conducting research into cattle and sheep welfare. In 2003 he immigrated to Australia to hold the inaugural Chair in Animal Welfare at the University of Queensland. He established the Centre for Animal Welfare and Ethics at UQ, which conducts research on the welfare of zoo and farmed animals and the ethics of animal use. Clive is the Chair of the Queensland government's Animal Welfare Advisory Board. He has published over 150 articles on animal welfare and management in scientific journals and is the author or editor of 9 books including a book series for Springer on the welfare of animals.

Dr. Marsh has experience and a publication record in the area of molecular identification and in vivo characterization of protozoal parasites (Neospora, Toxoplasma, Sarcocystis, and Cryptosporidium). More recently, her work investigates immunological responses to and drug resistance of important nematodes of livestock and dogs.

Dr. Woiwode (pronounced Why-woody) is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist of Animal Behavior, Handling, and Welfare at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Her research focuses on the impact of routine handling practices, handling facility design, and handler training and experience level on animal performance and welfare. She has devoted a great deal of time to evaluation and validation of instruments used to score animal behavior, welfare, and handling. Ruth co-chairs the UNL Livestock Emergency Response Preparedness team, coordinating training events across Nebraska, training First Responders to effectively manage livestock traffic accidents and catastrophic weather events involving livestock. Prior to joining UNL, Ruth led the evaluation of nationally-implemented animal care programs, and investigated high-profile cases related to animal care concerns raised in undercover videos. She built a nationally-recognized team and implemented auditor training and calibration practices to ensure the highest level of performance in the industry. She serves on the Nebraska Feedlot Safety Advisory Board, the UNL Beef Innovation Hub Faculty Advisory Committee, and the North American Meat Institute Animal Welfare Committee.

Dr. Razieh Eshraghisamani, is an Immunologist with a passion for clinically applicable interdisciplinary research to make a real difference in global health. Reliable team player and independent thinker with 4+ years experience and expertise in mucosal immunology research, host-pathogen interactions, vaccine development, molecular biology, animal models of disease, and cell-based assays across various technology platforms (flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, ELISA, RNA-Seq), as well as big data analysis and programming.

Dr. Amy Desaulniers is a reproductive physiologist within the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her research focuses on developmental programming of the mammalian testis using molecular, cellular and whole-animal approaches.

Dr. Dell is an animal therapy researcher and practitioner specializing in treatment for mental health, addictions, and well-being. She is currently a Professor and Centennial Enhancement Chair in One Health & Wellness in the Department of Sociology and Associate in the School of Public Health at the University of Saskatchewan. She is also a Senior Research Associate with the Canadian Centre on Substance Use & Addiction. Dr. Dell's research program is grounded in an empowering, community-based, and patient-oriented participatory approach with both humans and animals. Her research background is firmly rooted in criminal justice, mental health, substance use health, and Indigenous peoples' health. In her research program and life she has worked alongside several St. John Ambulance and PAWSitive Support therapy dogs, a Service Dog, and is currently working closely with E-Jay a 3 year old Boxer dog and Ruby a 6 year old Labrador Retriever. She works alongside various community and academic partners, including canines, in studies examining how the human-animal bond can help enrich wellness among individuals and communities. This ranges from addictions treatment facilities through to university and criminal justice institutions. Attention to animal-welfare is central in her work. Her most recent work is c-leading a controlled clinic trial of the impact of therapy dogs visiting an emergency department in Canada, and it was featured by CNN, People Magazine online, Canadian Press, NPR, MedScape and more! Dr. Dell was recently awarded the St. John Ambulance Chancellor's Pandemic Coin for her community leadership with therapy dogs in Saskatchewan. In 2022 she was awarded the University of Saskatchewan Distinguished Graduate Mentor award.

Billie is currently enrolled in the PhD of Leadership and Change program at Antioch University, with a focus on Systems Thinking and Organizational Management in Canine Behavior and Welfare. She recently completed the PhD course on Animal Cognition and Emotions to Improve Animal Welfare at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Billie, a professional behavioral consultant for over three decades, developed a scientifically proven method adhering to the principles and guidelines of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The success of her method has garnered the support of veterinarians, psychologists and professionals, and has positioned her as a leader in canine behavior. Billie is featured in Psychology Today Magazine, on Roku TV, and in the LA Tribune, has presented at the Animal Behavior Society Conference 2022/23 and the ASVM Conference 2022, and is a guest on many podcasts including The Vet Blast. Billie is the creator and host of the podcast Dog Training DisrUPted, and of The Solutionist Show on All About Animals Radio, and is the Vice President of Dog Writers Association of America. Billie works pro-bono with disadvantaged dogs in many countries and with clients virtually all over the world. She is from Ontario, Canada and currently resides in Saskatchewan.

Associate Professor Krebs completed a BAppSc (Rural Technology - Hon) at Queensland Agricultural College before undertaking PhD research through the University of New England, investigating interchange between microbial pools within the rumen. On meeting PhD requirements, Associate Professor Krebs was appointed Lecturer in the Department of Agriculture at Papua New Guinea University of Technology. Whilst there she was involved in teaching, but was also nutrition consultant to South Pacific Brewery Ltd, (PNG) and Associated Mills, Ltd. Lae (PNG) and was Chair of the Organising Committee for the Inaugural Conference of the PNG Society of Animal Production, 20-23 June 1988. Associate Professor Krebs returned to Australia in 1989 and was employed as Husbandry Officer (Division II), Sheep and Wool Branch, Queensland Department of Primary Industries until she took up a position first as Lecturer, then Senior Lecturer with Curtin University of Technology. Associate Professor Krebs joined the Staff of Charles Sturt University in 2008 as Senior Lecturer in the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences.

Anna McClain (PGSS-C) was born and raised in Orange, California, and has treasured animals her whole life. She graduated in 2006 with a BA in Sociology from Cal State Fullerton University and has been certified as a pet loss grief support specialist since 2015. Her PAWS Pathway counseling focuses on the unique human-animal bond and is in honor of her sweet little chocolate poodle, Alfie, who passed away in 2016. Anna is currently attending Mt. San Antonio College, pursuing multiple associates of arts degrees (including psychology), and has future aspirations to pursue a master's degree in social work and to become a veterinary social worker. Anna has greatly enjoyed working with dogs, cats, cattle, horses, pigs and sheep as a veterinary assistant and has nearly completed her registered veterinary technician certification. Additionally, she works as a Support Specialist for DVMcenter and MN Pets, helping clients nationwide with setting up at-home euthanasia and cremation services. She is also a freelance writer for Dogster, Animal Wellness, and Best Friends Animal Society. Anna is involved with volunteering at Best Friends Animal Society and recently married her high school sweetheart, Stephan at their Utah Sanctuary in 2019.

Dr Robinson graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2010. After this she worked in mixed practice, completed an internship at Rossdales Equine Hospital in New market and a residency in Equine Surgery at the University of Liverpool. Whilst at the University of Liverpool she also completed a Master's degree in the investigation of synovial sepsis in horses and certificates in advanced veterinary practice in equine surgery and equine orthopedics. After completion of her residency Dr Robinson worked as an equine surgeon in the UK and in Malta. In 2020 she became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons, and European Specialist in Equine Surgery. In 2021 Dr Robinson moved to Riyadh and spent two years working as a surgeon at the Equine Hospital of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia. During her time there she also set up a veterinary nurse training program, racing vets training program, internship and externship programs and formed part of the Saudi Cup veterinary team. In 2023 Dr Robinson commenced her current position as Assistant Professor in Equine Surgery at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she is responsible for teaching equine surgery and conducting research in surgical techniques and veterinary education.

Erika C.T. Mello-Peixoto, Erika Cosendey Toledo de Mello Peixoto. Graduated in Veterinary Medicine(1991), specialization in Dairy Cattle (2006) and Dynamic Biological Agriculture (2012), Masters in Surgery (1997), Doctorate in Animal Reproduction (2002), Post-doc in Hygiene and Veterinary Public Health (2009), and Post-doc in Phytotherapy (2014). Born in the Commonwealth of Dominica in the Caribbean, Dr. Roslyn Casimir attended Tuskegee University, School of Agriculture in Tuskegee, Alabama from 1994 to 1998 where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Animal and Poultry Science. She then attended Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine (TUSVM) from 1998 to 2002. Where she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Casimir developed a keen interest in Anatomic pathology during the clinical rotation and did a six-week externship at the Pathobiology department at TUSVM. She also did a one year internship in anatomic pathology at TUSVM and was then accepted to do a residency at the University of Tennessee, School of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee. She became a faculty member in the Department of Pathobiology at Tuskegee University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Casimir has received many awards and accomplishments including the Zoetis Teaching Award in 2010 and 2015. She served as Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs from August 2015 until February 2023. Dr. Casmir's greatest passion is the development and success of underrepresented minorities and women. Her greatest joy is seeing students excited about learning.

Dr. Berber is a DVM and he received his Ph.D. in Virology in 2014 at Firat University in Turkiye, focusing on the subject of inactivated vaccine development. He developed a safe inactivated vaccine candidate against a zoonotic viral infection, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, which has been tested in a Phase-I clinical trial on humans. He also contributed to animal veterinary virology by describing a virus infecting Cryptosporidium oocysts shed by newborn diarrheic calves as a first report in Turkiye. Dr. Berber decided to pursue his career to understand the development of host immune response to viruses. His postdoctoral studies in Prof. Dr. Barry T Rouse lab at University of Tennessee Knoxville, USA, allowed him to understand several metabolic aspects of the development of immune response in herpetic keratitis and herpetic encephalitis in animal models. Currently, his research area is focused on viral immunology and immunometabolism. He aims to improve his research area to understand and define cellular immunometabolic events against vaccines.

Dr. Qais Abdullah Rawahi was a well-qualified conservationist/Veterinarian offering strong knowledge of native species conservation and invasive species management. Michele Tree is currently a PhD candidate at Murdoch University. She has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science with honours from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Science honours in Animal Science from Murdoch University. Her current work incorporates social sciences, microbiology, and molecular biology in a multidisciplinary approach to assess the risk of antimicrobial resistance in the Australian dairy industry and develop methods to maintain efficacy.

Dr. Nuela M. Che Ajuyo completed her PhD at the age of 28 years from Hainan Normal University, Haikou, Hainan, China PR. She is currently a Postdoctoral fellow of Biopharmaceuticals and Molecular Pharmacology at Hainan University, Haikou, Hainan, China PR. She has presented papers in many national and international conferences. Also, she is involved in many humanitarian outreaches as she is the president of the First Ladies International Network for China and the founder of the Network of Excellence for Sustainable Development (NESDEV) (a non-profit organization for women and girls too).

Dr Ke Guek Nee received her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the National University of Malaysia. She is currently the associate professor in the Department of Psychology at the Heriot-Watt University Malaysia. She has secured various national and international research grants. Her research focus is on preventive measures of problematic online usage behaviours, cyber wellness, work and organizational psychology and leadership.

Dr. Xiaohua Teng was born in March 1963, PH. D, professor, and doctoral supervisor works in the College of Animal Science and Technology, Northeast Agricultural University (Harbin, China). Her main research interest is environmental toxicology on animals (including fish and poultry). She is one of "Outstanding scholars" in Northeast Agricultural University. She once served as the team leader of "Livestock and Poultry Environment Discipline" in Northeast Agricultural University and the discipline leader of a key discipline of Heilongjiang Province (China) on "Animal Husbandry System Management". She is also an expert in the project evaluation of the National Nature Fund (China), an expert in the evaluation of doctoral and master's thesis, as well as an excellent doctoral graduation thesis of the degree center of the Ministry of Education (China), a vice president of "Livestock Ecology of China" (One branch of "Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine" (China), an expert of "the International Cooperation Committee on Animal Welfare of China Association, and an executive director of Heilongjiang Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society, Member of Heilongjiang Agricultural Rural Reform and Development Soft Science Research Committee, an evaluation expert of Heilongjiang Educational Science Planning, and an expert of Heilongjiang Educational Science Planning Office in the 12th Five Year Plan and the 13th Five Year Plan. She was a chairman and member of the conference academic committee, host of the branch venue, keynote speaker, and invited speaker at many academic conferences. She presided over, guided, and participated in 28 projects of NSFC and other scientific research topics and won 10 scientific research awards. Khang Duong received the PhD degree in Animal Nutrition and Management at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in 2004. Five years after, Khang Duong got the Associate Professor title also got Full Professor title in 2019. At present, Khang Duong as a member of Professional Associations of Vietnamese Biogas, a member of academic trainings at Nong Lam University. Khang Duong have published more than 80 national and international articles relating on animal methane emissions and biodigester. Khang Duong found nutritional solutions balancing in emissions and utilization of carbon dioxide as well as reduction of methane:meat production ratios in cattle production. In Vietnam, Khang Duong developed the humid tropical areas of sustainable system of integrated livestock, black soldier fly (for animal/bird manure treating, crop/food processing wastes treating...) and fuel production based on fractionation of high biomass crops, forage trees and water plants with emphasis on ruminant and recycling of wastes which is environmentally friendly by using the black soldier fly. It is based on agroecological principles of organic-based inputs and biological control of pests and diseases, the feeding systems for ruminants in mountain areas using sugar cane, leaves from trees and water plants has been introduced and developed to poor farmers. Beside that Khang Duong also set up the low-cost plastic biodigester and improvements to the technology, over 500,000 units installed and paid for by farmers. It reduced methane production from animal wastes.

Peiwei Li , Ph.D, research assistant, works in Shaanxi Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Academy of Sciences, Xi 'an Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Research interest covers the regulation mechanism of lipid synthesis and metabolism in livestock.

Malgorzata Kotula-Balak is a professor at the University Centre of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Agriculture in Krakow, Poland, and Head of the Laboratory of Histopathology in the Center for Experimental and Innovative Medicine at the University of Agriculture in Krakow, Poland. The main field of her research interest is andrology. She is concentrating on studies on estrogens role in the male reproductive system of various animal species. She published over 90 original research articles (h-index= 18). She was a post-doc at the Adelaide University, Adelaide, Australia, and at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, United States of America. She was a Principal Investigator on National Science Centre projects e.g. SONATA BIS5 and OPUSes. She is a Secretary of the Main Board of the Society for Reproductive Biology, a Member of the Biology Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Member of editorial boards of international scientific journals, and an Editor of special issues. Currently, she is charming of Rector Commission for International Cooperation.

Dr. Alessio Filippo Peritore is a young researcher at the University of Messina, and is mainly concerned with environmental toxicology, focusing on the interaction of andropogenic contaminants and their effects on human and especially animal health.

Dr. Xiaojun Liu is a distinguished professor of animal genetics, breeding and reproduction at Henan Agricultural University, China. He received his PhD in animal reproduction from China Agricultural University, China in 1998. Since then, he worked at Roslin Institute and the University of Edinburgh, UK, where he conducted researches on QTL mapping, molecular genetics and functional genomics of poultry and model animals. He joined Henan Agricultural University, China in 2013. His research interests now mainly focus on functional genomics and molecular breeding of poultry.

Kaili Ma, PhD, researcher fellow, engaged in research on experimental animals for a long time. The gene modified mouse model platform of the Institute was established, and transgenic mice over expressing alpha synuclein were successfully obtained. A platform for the operation and transfer of non-human primate embryos in vitro was established, and test tube monkeys were successfully obtained. At the same time, animal models of human diseases such as Parkinson's disease, diabetes and hyperuricemia have also been established.

Dr Nguyen Thi Thuong is a lecturer at the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine at Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City (NLU). Nguyen Thi Thuong graduated Degree in Veterinary Medicine course 2001-2006, and a Master of Veterinary Medicine course from 2010-2013 at NLU. From 2016 to 2019, Nguyen Thi Thuong was a doctoral student of Okayama University in Japan according to the scholarship of Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) for the Young Lecturer Program. Nguyen Thi Thuong's research interests are as follows: Using the agricultural residues to increase the economic efficiency in feed and feeding management, Apply the fermentation method of agricultural residues for beef cattle in small holding, Evaluate the effect of feed and feeding on negative energy balance and milk yield and quality of dairy cows, Investigate the milk quality and the effect of milk microbiota on milk quality of dairy cows, Investigate the uterine microbiota of dairy cows and the relationship with environment microbiota in the farms.

Mahmoud Baakhtari has studied veterinary science faculty at Kabul university, Afghanistan, and has received his MSc at the University of Miyazaki and now is a 3rd grade Ph.D. degree student at the faculty of medicine and veterinary medicine, University of Miyazaki. His research interest was nutritional immunology, especially the effects of animal nutrition on immune status, health, and growth performance.

Dr. Endris Aman Ali, graduated from DVM program at the College of Veterinary Medicine, and Animal sciences University of Gondar, Ethiopia in July 2018. Now he is a PhD student and teaching assistant at the University of Melbourne, Melbourne Veterinary School, Melbourne, Australia. His PhD Project will be developing a vaccine against goat coccidiosis. Prior to joining the University of Melbourne, he worked as a Lecturer at Bahir Dar University and Assosa University in Ethiopia, where he gained four years of experience in teaching, research projects and community service.
